Well this thread certainly wasn't needed in the end with basically no movement between us and Udinese. With us missing out on Wilson, Laird, Norton-Cuffy aas possibles for RWB it wouldn't surprise me to see Ebosele arrive on loan - although he did replace Masina for the final 7 mins in their first league game against AC Milan - although Udinese have just sold their main starting RWB Brandon Soppy to Atalanta (although Soppy didn't play at the weekend and the Udinese manager still didn't play Ebosele). Still very keen on Samardzic though and considering the amount of attacking players we've lost think he could be a great option and think he'd link up great with Asprilla.

 

Yes. If we can get Ebosele and Samardzic and Sarr signs a new contract things will be looking up. Arguably we could still do with a poacher, but genuinely don't think this will happen unless Sarr and Pedro both leave.

They will probably leave any business with Udinese to the last couple of days, I would expect.

 

I still wonder if Martin Palumbo makes the move before deadline day.

 

Samardzic certainly seems more of JP replacement than Archer does (though I’d take either). Non-homegrown status is an issue though.

Guess it depends on how much gametime he gets really, today was only his first start of the season, but udinese fans were raving about his performance tonight on Twitter so imagine more starts are in his immediate future (sadly for us!)

 

I feel maybe the window for this to happen would have been if JP left? Sadly even if JP does leave in January, it might not happen...

 

Another week, another banger for Samardzic. Goddammit.

 

I guess we'll have to console ourselves with having to watch JP week in week out...

 

He's a good footballer. I think we've moved away from that transfer strategy.
