8 goals, 4 assists and has won us 6 points with his doubles against Palace and Villa.

Losing Deeney would absolutely ruin us.

We wouldn't come to close to replacing him and would go down next season.

Funny and a shame that after 3 seasons and how after getting in over 40+ players since Gino took over, the only player that the majority of watford fans would be gutted to see go....was here already Pre-Pozzo.

Would be gutted to lose Cathcart, Gomes

And was gutted to lose Fessi and Vydra so..

Still got a soft spot for Abdi even though he's had a rather poor season but not sure who to blame that on.

Seems to be a reflection on the season. I don't think you could have said the same thing this time last year, Angella, Vydra and Fessi were all popular, Gomes, Cathcart, Abdi, Watson, Deeney and to some extent Iggy would all have seemed like quite a loss, even to some extent Toszer and Anya.

Says a lot about a successful season that there is a lack of enthusiasm about so many of the team, though the matter may have been exaggerated somewhat.

Didn't Troy say in the press the other day that he wanted a new contract?

I'd imagine this might just be agent talk to scare the Pozzo's into giving him what he wants.

If WD Sport are correct in the fact that Deeney was present at talks with the potential new manager then that would seem someone who isn't going anywhere just yet. (fingers crossed)

    He wouldn't need to

There is no way Gino and the club would stand in his way if he decides to go

If one of his ambitions is to play Champions League football, the only way he will ever achieve this is to sign for Leicester. That is where I think he will be playing next season.

Leicester can fark off, apparently they are also after Depor's forward Lucas. What a farking scenario if they both went to Leicetser I will have to Boo them severely the cants.

I love Troy Deeney. Back in 2011 I didn't rate him at all, but now everything is history. His work rate is unbelievable and I truly think he deserves to play for England. Wouldn't be surprised if he left for better things this summer. Can't see him wanting to play in a team where he's the only one that cares.

Players who care but only because they are mere vessels for Gods ultimate plan

    1- Ighalo
    2- Gomes
3- Capoue but only because it looks cool to praise the sky when you enter the pitch

Slimani would be a big coup for Leicester - he is comfortably a level above Deeney.

    Is he?

Hes scored goals in the Portugese league but so have loads of **** players (even Layun lol). Only 4 in 12 in European competitions and the best team hes scored against were Schalke, the other were Maribor and Besiktas

Has a good international record, but so does Peter Crouch and he didn't even spend 90% of his time playing against other weak African sides: http://www.wow.com/wiki/List_of_international_goals_scored_by_Islam_Slimani

Deeney scored 12 in the PL this season with 7 assists. Slimani may well be better but we don't know that yet, certainly not 'comfortably'

    Yeah crazy.

Think he also said he's looking to spend £25 million on a striker, probably more Bony / Lukaku area if in England but if we were offered £25 million for Troy, would you see it as a worthy offer?

That's probably around the right figure, yeah. He's so irreplaceable though that I'm loathe to see him go for any money.

I agree with wfcloyal, its a lot of money and I don't think he is worth more than that but I'd still be reluctant to accept.

I think Wilson would be a decent signing for them though

Deeney is invaluable to us. For me, there's not an amount of money that would make me think 'yeah, that's a good deal' until you're reaching the top tier of strikers. He's more valuable to us than he would be to any other team - as it is, he's a Gerrard/Terry sort of figure for us.

The only way I could see him leaving is if he asks for a move, and even then I wouldn't want less than £20m+ and I think we'd be significantly worse off.

Wouldn't be too upset if we put in a bid of our own for Wilson and Richie. Both players that bring something to the game we haven't currently got, and would be a huge coup over West Ham.

Just pay Troy what he wants.

He's the leader of the club both on and off the pitch and if we sold him, especially with all the PL money next season, we'll have week after week of 'the owners even sold Troy Deeney' on all the commentaries, MOTD and the cheaper Sky equivalent when we inevitably struggle without him.

As much as I would also like them here, I doubt we would outbid the £25mil West Ham have supposedly offered for both (and supposedly had rejected).

I could see him moving to Leicester unfortunately. No way would we sell him for £15m though.
