    Are we expecting anymore signings?

Now that the players are back in training do you think we will sign anyone else? It was great when we beat Burnley on the first day of the season then on the Monday we signed Ronnie and made his debut the next day against Swindon.

Knowing Aidy is such a planner I'd have thought he'd have had/wanted all the players in place for the start of pre-season.

he didn't last year, i think it depends if bouazza, carlisle and shittu stay, as he may need to sign new players if these leave.

I hope we are not finished, we still need to adress the situation at left back, as if Jordan Stewart gets injured we will be a little thin at the position with only Jordan Parkes to cover.

I've just seen Cesc Fabregas driving in London Colney.

If we are to believe Birdy then we shall be seeing atleast HH here soon, and with reports of the Kamara deal collapsing it does seem more and more likely. :):):)

Interesting thread on the Fulham message board:

    http://www.fulhamfc.com/Club/Messageboard.aspx?mode=thread&TopicID=17166

    In particular these two posts:
"Kamara agreed terms last Wednesday after completing a medical. It is true that Helguson is not favoured on going to West Brom but both clubs are discussing a different option. What that option is, I do not know. Maybe it might be cash on top of the original asking price or another player."

"The Hold Up and that is all it is, is because Helguson isn't happy about leaving London. There are other options. It is likely that both Kamara and Davis will be Fulham players and announced soon. "

I'd like to see us sign a half-decent midfielder to replace Gavin 'The Cart horse' Mahon.

But I'm not holding my breath on that one.....

IMHO we need another striker and two full backs before we kick off. Neither Doyley or Marriapa have made RB their own and Stewart needs cover at left back (though this is not as high a priority as the RB slot in my view). In midfield I feel that we have adequate depth, with Williamson, Mahon, Bangura, Williams to come back, Francis to slot in if needed, Rinaldi and Cavalli. I can't see why we would look at another midfielder unless 2 or more of these are leaving.

Mariappa has made the position his own.

Parkes will be cover for Stewart.

We have just as many astrikers as we do midfilders.

with francis and williams being 2 of or most experienced players at champ level injured, I would say we need a good experienced comfortable on the ball creative centre mid at our club
Think that is something we have lacked for ages
We have mahon and rinaldi - that looks 1st choice at moment
with williamson & bangurra as cover
cavali won't play in the centre
how many of the available 4 above would we honestly say are good on the ball centre mid players - Rinaldi, williamson maybe - but both still unproven
And very hard to say as we haven't seen much passing football for a while
which I think has made some good players look average - i.e francis who i think is more than capable of a good passing game
Would be hard to displace mahon as he is captain and works hard but still doesn't possess the quality needed
I would love to see Claus Jensen in the middle of the park for us but don't think that will ever happen
The TYPE of player we need
    Gary Speed
Gary Mcallister - is he still playing
Also like that Kavanagh at Sunderland
All good on the ball players
Sure there are a few out there!

Honestly don't think Parkes is ready to cover LB
In my opinion he needs to get out on a loan for some experience!

They are injured, not dead. We have more than enough cover to see us through and will be boosted by their return from injury. I don't see us signing any midfielders.

i cant see us needing or wanting to sign more players. i think we'l be trying to get rid of a few. e.g. macca

i dont think aidy is done as in an ideal situation he would have all his players in now, but football doesnt work like that. he will kepp trying to the people he wants right up to the transfer deadline

we need a another lb for cover as parkes is not ready IMO espically if jordan gets an injury early on in the season, midfield were fine

and it depends who leaves and if we need people to cover them

Its all very well saying we have cover but is it up to scratch.
Strength in depth is what we need, but we also need players with a bit of quality that can dominate a game in the middle of the park.
We lacked quality in the prem & we even lacked it in the cup against Plymouth. Plymouths Lilian Nalis is 35/36 in Sep and he ran the show against us and many other teams last season, because can play and has a bit of quality, hopefully we will have that in Rinaldi.
Nothing wrong with older players, if they are good and lead by example, Mckay for instance!

Come on Trafalgar, we can't possibly replace our 'Captain Fantasic'.

Who would attempt to pass without falling over every other time in our side? Shiiirrley we need one clueless prat - as certain sections of the crowd seem to luuurrrrve Sooper Gav?!

    And i thought i knew you . . .
