Unlike last season when Reading ran away with the title and Sunderland before that this season is incredibly close. Played, Goal Diff, Points 1 West Brom 35 23 63 2 Derby 34 9 63 3 Birmingham 33 18 61 4 Sunderland 35 16 60 5 Southampton 35 17 59 6 Cardiff 35 14 59 7 Preston 34 12 59 8 Wolverhampton 35 3 59 Impossible to call. At the other end Leeds are bottom - can they stay there? Big game against the s c u m on 10 March. Anyone know the way to Scunthorpe?
Reminds me of how much more exciting the Championship is than the prem. Nearly anyone can come through in the Championship but only three or four in the Prem. That's what money does foryou.
I'm with you on that...Championship promotions are varied & exciting. You ALREADY know the top five finishers for the Prem next year though. I have to admit that despite the disappointment of the likelihood of going down, I am already excited about the competition next season. Screw Manyoo, Chelski, Pudlians, and Arse-n-holes.
Hadn't realised West Brom were top, glad for them. Shows how interesting the Championship is as a league, I didn't expect Wolves to do so well this season. The bottom is just as tight only 1 point seperates L*ton, QPhaha, hull and Barnsley
Birmingham are showing signs of faltering and Sunderland are just coming into some good form. Really hard to call.
WBA and Sunderland to go up automatically and Southampton via the play-offs. Steve Bruce to be sacked by Birmingham.
Tommy Smith then rejoins the black cats as they are a bigger club. Tsunami hits the UK as an eruption takes place in Surrey around the vicinity of Jobr's house:]]
I think the same, in a way i hope that does happen as well because WBA, Sunderland and Southampton have played the best football in the champ this season and will do so next season. I can't stand David Sullivan and Blues have been lucky by all accounts, not playing good football. Also I think they've put all their eggs in one basket and will struggle next season if they dont go up this.
