http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/16634548.stm Tomasz Cywka is available on a free transfer. Definitely worth a look IMO, he's only 23, polish international, won't break the transfer piggy bank and scored two good goals against us when Derby beat us 4-1 at pride park last season. Could potentially play him out wide and solve our left wing crisis.
If he makes the impact of our last Polish player, Grzegorz Rasiak, he'll be very welcome, but if Derby are letting him go, I guess he's not really up to it in the Championship. Let's be honest, even Chris Iwelumo scored against us twice last year, so that's no yardstick to measure him by. With the Garner, Forsyth, Iwelumo etc, I think we have enough players of this type already. We need a couple of quality, first team ready players, not players that may be worth a punt.
Literally nothing, the whole window has been unbelievably quite for January. I'm sure we'll see a loan before the end of the window, but we had intentions of far more.
Worrying. One loan won't be enough in my opinion. Genuinely think there's a really strong possibility of us going down this season.

Loans leave a huge hole in the team when they go and I'd say most of us were hoping we might bring in a couple of permanent signings to possibly fix a few of the problems in the squad long term. Also, when was the last time we brought in a quality loan after January? All of our good loans in recent seasons have come at the beginning of the season or in the first loan window - Johnson, Cleverley, Lansbury, Mutch, Taylor, Nosworthy etc. By the end of the January transfer window most of the better players available for loan have already signed elsewhere or have gained the match fitness they were loaned out for in the first place (Kightly, for example) and are no longer available for the second half of the season.
Agreed. The last thing we need now is another journeyman sitting on the bench and claiming wages for it. It was good to see that we were linked with Cywka though but he seems adament that he is joining Reading. We have been so quiet in this transfer window, I do hope that we are going to seal a deal soon, got some very important games coming up
Cywka isn't exactly a prolific goal scorer, he has scored 5 goals in 39 games. I'm not too sure how many of these were from the bench but still.
I have a feeling we'll try and see out the rest of the window without losing anyone. Then once Premiership clubs have done their deals we'll pick up some loans next month.
On trial at 'Uddersfield. Him coming back to Watford was mentioned in the summer though he has been recovering from injury and said he wouldn't discuss a deal with anyone at length until he was fully fit.
We have our targets lined up but we wont move until members of the current squad move on, otherwise will just be loans I actually heard the other day that Sordell is off and we are just waiting for the other club to generate the funds to complete the deal, no idea how correct that info is though, was a second hand source
Could be a good signing. He tore us apart at their place last season - The game Whichelow scored his first senior goal.
He has been quoted saying he will be joining reading from what I understand. I think he probably had originally turned us down for the polish club
Why wouldn't we? Reading may not consider him prem standard but he's certainly good enough at this level.
