I don't want to be negative at a time like this but it frustrated me the way we conceded the goal.

Why Malkay was taking the throws on the right hand side I don't know? Its happened in previous games and all this does is pulls him out of position this being demostrated for the goal that we let in. Can Stewart not put the ball behind his head and throw the ball? Its not like Malkay has the longest of throws.

Just thought Id raise the issue as I heard many people also complain about this.

i cant remember the lead up, i dont tend to remember anything that happpended more than two passes ago! (often though that cna be a goal kick and a shot)

it was raised at the fans forum why mahon takes throws not stewart.
his answer was he cant throw very far.

Totally agree with you. Mclky will never get back with his pace.

With only seconds left, leaving the ball to go out is exactly what you do.

Last thing we wanted was to concede just before half time. Although he had a good game today, somethings he does just amazes me.

It was Malky who threw the ball straight to a Blackburn player. :(

The throw shouldnt have been conceded though, However letting Malky take the throw is ridiculous. It only causes problems for ourselves.

    What are you on

Why would Jordan do that? He would definitely be giving the ball to the opposition if he had kicked up the field as you suggest.

I would agree with you if the throw would have been for them, had Jordan let it go out, but the throw was in our favour, hence GIVING US POSSESION, Jordan can hardly be blamed for Malkys bad throw can he ???

If the goal was anybodys fault, it was Malkys, not Jordans.

Mackay is to blame but i still dont think Stewart should of let it go out.

Let's just hope Aidy tells them never to do that again!

Malky throwing in, deep in our own half, with seconds left before the break ... just horrible. Especially when you know that _if_ we lose the ball (which we did), you'd have Bentley challenging Malky as a full back (which is what happened), which in 999 out of 1000 cases leads to Bentley getting a cross in (which also happened), and Malky won't be there to challenge in the air  (and it's 1-1)

Jordan should not of let the ball go out he had time and space to look up and pick a pass or hoof it as far as he could. Ok it was our throw-in but level with our own 18 yard box is dangerous at best. As i said at the time we never win the ball from our own throw-in anyway (which is something we need to work on). Hammer ran away from the throw, Malky didn't really make a challenge then hammer gets knocked of the ball too easy. A good cross in and a good header and we're conceding.
Conceding the throw was adding pressure we didn't need
