They Were Only League One Players

I've been out for a few hours and look what happens

I am absolutely delighted that we have signed Hoskins and Williamson and I hope they turn out to be real stars. We shouldn't expect too much to start with though - they come from a mid-table League One team. We have to be patient, they have to settle in and adapt to the different style and pace of the top flight.

Hoskins will get a go fairly quickly but do you honestly believe that Williamson should start ahead of Gav, Bangbang or Francis? Hopefully he is that good but I think he will have to wait his opportunity.

Altogether though it looks like fantastic business by Aidy with very limited downside and massive upside.

I am also pleased that the word I had about Tiggy going to Rotherham is true. This is also great business for Watford giving him great experience. Loans have worked really well for Chambers and Hameur in the past.

Well done Aidy and the team - terrific start to the January window, now finish the job by getting in a decent established Prem striker.

Francis has been poor for us apart from his first two games but the point I was trying to make was that I bet he would look good in League One. Well maybe!

I had high hopes for DF after Everton and West Ham, like you say he looked good in these games! He just looks lethargic to me! Oh well, Aidy isn't always going to sign great players i suppose!

 

Give the bloke a chance, he's walked League 1 for the last 2 seasons, well one and half. Put it this way, youve got a good championship if you go down, and hopefully be no trouble in going back up. BUT I am not saying you will go down.

Well I expect Williamson to get on the bench and maybe have some playing time here and there over the next month. We will see how good he is over time.

As for Hoskins, he may get some playing time up front sooner.

 

williamson looks quite light weight for a centre mid

 

i think alot of watford fans will be impressed with how good Williamson is. theres alot of hype about about hoskins but Williamson is'nt part of the deal to be a back up player and if he is to start with he won;t be for long

 

and theres one thing you won't find with league 1 lads is a lack of effort
