Theo Robinson has hit back at Watford after signing a 3 year deal with Huddersfield, suggesting that the Hornets never gave him a big break to prove his worth.

Robinson, who made only 5 substitute appearances and 1 League Cup start for the Hornets, told the Huddersfield Daily Examiner "I never got the chance I thought I should have at Watford…"

There can be no question that Theo has raw pace and a real goalscorers selfishness in front of goal but he may well have found his level at League One after a number of managers in the Hornets hotseat opted against throwing him into the hustle and bustle of Championship life.

Not that Theo is accepting that mind you. Oh no, he reckons that he should be playing regularly and "is good enough to play in the Championship level".

Hmmm seems strange then Theo that the only interest in you this summer has been from Southend, Huddersfield and Swindon - who you have done well to really wind up!!!!

Let`s face it though, the young striker, who has been accused of "shenanigans" and "greed" by the Swindon Town board, clearly divides fans opinion. There are those that think he`s too lightweight, a one trick pony and a benchwarmer at best whilst others claim his breakthrough season is only a matter of weeks away and that Watford will miss his potential.

To be honest I thought he deserved a proper chance aswell

He's right. Once it became obvious that Hoskins was about 20,000 leagues out of his depth, he should have been given a go, especially as he has some physical attributes that can be exploited.

    I hope he does well.

Boo hoo Theo, get the violins out, if you're as good as you claim then you'll get to where you think you should be eventually.

It's hardly 'boo-hoo' is it? It's not as if he's rang up the press officer just ot get his harrowing story out there. The only quote is 'I never got the chance I thought I should have at Watford…', which is fair, but he's not kicking up a fuss.
