Looking at the beeb's stats for last night's Wigan game, http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/31616958, nobody can take any of the coming games for granted. I still think it's going to be an eight horse race with most of the top 6 positions finalised at 2pm on 2nd May.

id prefer to see the fixtures graphically represented by fish.. Fixtures against other top 8 teams are represneted by a dogfish. If there's a chance to jump ahead of the opposition also use a salmon. Away games against poor opposition have a slippery eel icon to represent a tricky tie. games against norwich have a parrot fish, wolves - the giant wolf fish, boro an ugly stone fish and watford have the hornet fish.

    For example;
    wolf fish

i think you'll all agree its the only way to go.

After last nights results we can safely say automatic promotion is now ours - looking forward to the Premiership already!

What a lot of people are failing to factor in is the undeniable truth that 'bad refereeing decisions even themselves up over a season'. Well by my reckoning, over the final dozen or so games we're guaranteed six dodgy penalties and two opponents to be ludicrously sent off early in the first half. That should see us over the line quite comfortably.

Not only did Norwich lose last night, but Grabban is out injured and will require ankle surgery.

That is bound to impact them, and the 1-0 loss at home might indicate they're starting to feel the pressure.

Can someone do me a favour and post a list of our promotion rivals and their fixtures/results?

    Cheers.

    2nd place.

    We are in the automatics
Win every game and we are going up.

    Such hope today
So proud of our club, so proud. All that is right with football and humanity

I love WFC, even if we fall. At least we have done the right thing

Love the sentiments, but as Jokanovic usually says when we win... we haven't achieved anything yet, we are still a Championship team.

This is one of the main reasons I would love us to get promoted.

Joka is so reserved. So focused. Even after brilliant victories he reminds us that the job is not done.

Imagine him once the job is actually done and he can relax. All that repressed joy and excitement will come out in (probably) the funniest drunken night ever.

I think we will get 88 points, no idea if that will be enough for an auto spot.

    Doing it right

With just 8 games left, it feels like it is all coming together.

The club fly the players to games, the players pay for fans to travel and the fans (at the moment) are realistically cautious. Little things like this make a big difference. So far, so good.

As someone else said in a different thread, let's make sure we make the Vic a ground the players want to play at, and don't let any nerves transfer to the team.

I'd read about turning the Vic yellow for the Derby match, but wonder if there are similar things that can help a party / optimistic mindset at home?

    Any thoughts? Yellow by yawnmongers?

I'm up for a party. As long as it's Tommie Hoban's and I've got Ben Watson and Munari in my possession.
