Was about to put this comment on that article but realised I would have to register on Mail Online and I just couldn't bring myself to do that.

I just can't believe how stupid the FL are to give them such a farce of a transfer embargo. The FL have been made a mockery of by Watford and it only seems a short amount of time before English football will have lost the war altogether. Please, if there is any decency in the FA, could they please take a look at this utter travesty.

    Regards,

What is the problem with the Leicester fans - talk about chips on shoulders.

No-one else looking at their forums seem that bothered - a bit of moaning but you'd expect that.

BTW They are the THIRD biggest club in the East Midlands.

nisman94 - I know its a sarcastic post there but you are right.

The FA caused the confusion by saying we have a transfer embargo when we don't.

Rather sums them up as an organisation!

No doubt somebody will have an embargo but unlike us not be able to buy anyone and then we'll get fingers pointed for that.

The Daily Mail article is ridiculous! It says that we are allowed to sign players with the approval of the Football League but then keeps saying how have we signed all these players while under an embargo?! And what has any of it got to do with how many players Wigan have signed?!!!!!!!

  14. There is one by the name of NorthernHorn who posts on Football Forums. All the other Watford fans despise him. Hasn't been to a game in years.

I didnt see many moans when we released 7 players including Yeates at the end of May. It seems everyones annoyed at us cause they know secretly that we are their biggest threat.. Bring it on..
I dont care about any other fans, media or any others bemoaning to our transfer policy, let them moan and whinge as we have done nothing wrong but I really hope this isnt a continuous discussion point all season as im bored of it already.
Other fans of other clubs should look forward to watching this talent rather than moaning at it.

Absolutely fed up of this. We beat watford in the playoff final and we end up signing overpriced players like dwight gayle whilst watford get players who could cut it at most top 10 premier league clubs, ON A FREE. Absolute joke. I'm so angry right now, I'm going to right a letter to fifa to express my anger at the way watford are doing business. I would give my right arm for holloway to sign acuna, yet watford sign him up for 4 years and don't even have to pay a penny. worst of all, if the press is to be believed, we were also after acuna. why would he choose watford over us? what would sir alex have to say?

Considering that most of them won't watch our team until they're playing against them, I doubt the average opposition fan will find watching us a positive experience.

All it proves is that those who say some football fans are bitter, bias and tribal are right.

Leicester fan now moaning that if it was them they'd be in trouble..because they are a bigger club!

Dear me - its only a game.

Maybe they are just bored because they haven't signed anyone or sacked the manager as most wanted their guys to do.

They might come 2nd or win the play-offs - you'd think there was one place for promotion and we'd certain to get in.

    :naughty:

Better this way than being nobodies. If others hate us, it's their problem. We're pleasing on the eye and we have a true gent as manager..there shouldn't be anything to dislike about us. Unlike Forest and Blackburn, our overseas owners don't fire managers every 3 months..we have a strategy in place. Yes maybe the loan situation was pushing it (legally) and we'd have hated other clubs doing it but that's gone now..we move on.

One things seems to be being forgotten..by rival fans and maybe by ourselves. Bringing in so many overseas players, new to the country and the league, does remain a risk. I'm not worried..Personally, I think it's exciting and I think we will go up, but it is a strategy with a certain element of doubt..how will the likes of Acuna and Fabbrini settle in? It's not a gimme that the policy will bear fruit..after all, the last promotion place last season was clinched by a veteran striker of the English top two divisions. Rival fans should maybe stand back, stop slagging us off, and realise we are still taking a gamble, the same as big spenders in our league gamble their budget on massive signings, or badly run clubs gamble with constantly hiring and firing managers.

I'm sure we will go up btw and I believe our strategy and set up is fantastic, so don't read me wrong! But we're still relying on a lot of players to settle in to a very demanding league..and for the returnees not to have second season syndrome. And we've most likely lost the Championship's player of the season! So rival fans, stop your envy and put your own house in order!

It's a clear loophole. All players should be bid on in an open auction by all clubs, otherwise it's just unfair. In fact, Man Utd are a prime example. They have Wayne Rooney. Chelsea would love Rooney, but they don't have the chance to sign him. It's completely unfair and needs to be looked at.

In the aftermath of the Gus Poyet Dismissal, Brighton fans should be more concerned with closing poopholes than loopholes.

If the shoe was on the other foot; and another team had beaten us in the last seconds of a play off semi final fielding loads of players on loan from a team owned by the same family, then a few of us would be annoyed. Then, for the team to sign a lot of the players and more on free transfers/ however we did it, after 'apparently' being under a transfer embargo, a lot of our fans would still be riled and have our internet forum rants.

If it was another championship team in the same situation, I'm sure a lot of us would be jealous and have a little moan about it, wouldn't we?

We have a history of bad faith transfer dealings.

Just think back to when Bolton bought Sordell. Cardiff wanted to buy him, but we didn't play ball with them because we were upset they stole all our backroom staff over the previous summer. This isn't fair on Cardiff - they should have been allowed to sign Sordell!

I know it's all true because Bas said so.

    Opposition means to oppose.

Rival fans attack and criticise other clubs..it's what they have always done and always will do. Quelle Surprise!

    Mightily entertaining though :)

Why can't people just be happy rather than go on about opposition keyboard warriors, obese journalists, ex England cricketers e.t.c?

I can't wait for this season to start.
