i should be voting for oasis but as i get older i like them less and less. the other bands don't really inspire me either and the only people i can think of are arty electro-indie-dirge groups so i won't bother listing them. all in all, o does nothing for me.
That could be said about some other other bands that have won like blocparty, doves, hives, killers and interpol will people still like them in 10 years time.
i only voted for the hives and the doves so my reasoning is entirely consistent. The Doves will always be great, whereas the Hives won't be around in ten years, but i voted for them for other reasons.
To avoid any confussion i will tell you now. tomorrow fan will be doing the poll. good luck fan this lot are not easy to please.
Fan takes control of the hallowed 'P' category...I don't know if I can wait until tomorrow, I might explode.
i've been thinking of loads of bands covering metal, hip-hop, j-pop, punk, pre-teen rubbish, indie, old-school, dance and rock. it'll be a jubilee, or should i say, jubil-pee? ha ha
Deadly serious Note the inclusion of a smilie to indicate my lack of seriousness in that comment, perhaps this should have been included in my original post.
no. you can't mention peter gabriel and invoke his lyrics and then act nonchalantly. its just not done.
Being the age of 27 and growing up in the Brit Pop era, has to be Oasis for me to. My first ever gig was Knebworth and then been lucky enough to see them at Wembly and Finsbury Park. Ok, they are not as good as they were but still can produce the odd moment of magic on an album.
