The Late Night Thread

Well i gave myself some time off over christmas to recharge the batteries etc.

Started in earnest the last couple of days and there are a few potentials out there which gives me hope. Just a case of getting lucky more than anything given the current climate i think, hopefully mine is in.

Definitely see where you're coming from. I'm not too happy with my job at the moment but don't want to jack it in as I'd stand no chance of work anywhere else at the moment. The actual job itself is alright as my shops dead (quietest in our group), but the company are taking the royal p**s to 'cut costs', such as NOT PAYING people for doing overtime, instead giving it back to them in lieu time and making people single-man for whole trading days. I suppose it keeps me busy though.

I'm off to bed now to try and sleep off the last of this cold/chest infection/sore throat in time for the football tomorrow... good night chaps!

 

Ahhh doesn't sound good mate. Nobody needs that, but i guess similar is happening everywhere with the cost cutting almost every company is being forced into.

Best thing to do i guess is spend a bit of time searching for a new job whilst you still have your current one, might get lucky and be able to switch jobs fairly seamlessly!

God, I'd never had Chest infections or anything until this summer when I caught Pleurisy, and then it seemed to trigger a whole speight of chest problems which only seem to have died down recently.
I know how painful and frustrating they can be, keeping me of sport for months! (only rugby though so it's ok :]])

 

i am having my second nosebleed in 6 hours. perhaps this is some michael schofield shizzle

Are any of you thinking of going to South Africa for the World Cup next year?

 

If I had someone who would accompany me, due to my unbelievable fear of flying, then I might have, and im still considering it. So maybe for me. I've never been abroad for England before.

And for the record re cold/chest infection/sore threat:

I woke up at 5AM and didn't get back to sleep until about an hour and a half ago. I'm not in a great mood.

 

For the last week at least half of all of my nights have been spent coughing my guts out. Does this mean I'm not alone?

 

Yeah, that's pretty much what I've been doing in between splitting headaches, losing my voice and having a sore throat.
