Did anyone say we are?

 

Agree with the first part but not the second. They won't get stronger, they'll stay the same and get relegated again by sticking with a team who did well against a league full of bums.

Meanwhile we'll get some foreign mercenaries in and effortlessly finish above them.

 

Quite a few, someone on here (can’t remember who) even said we’re ‘head and shoulders’ above them.

 

Well logically they’ll get stronger because they don’t spend the premier league money, so they’ll get relegated again and have an even stronger balance sheet to improve incrementally. They’ve been doing it for a while but their promotions are getting more regular and their domination of the league more emphatic.

 

I don’t mind finishing 2nd to Norwich , just don’t want to finish in the playoffs

 

You have to appreciate the beauty of that goal.

 

We'll see. They just don't have the pulling power to make it in the big league. They'll stick with the likes of pukki for sure, and he was abject against proper defenders.

I did say/mean if we don’t go up, in that scenario they get even stronger and we’ll get even weaker. If we go up we’ll certainly make a better fist of staying up, and while we’re up well obviously be better off, but as and when we get relegated we’ll be worse off again. I still think I’d prefer that, but there is something to be said for what they do.

 

I'm not saying we play better football.

They certainly deserve to be top.

Just that it's a very long time since we lost to them.

We have a good chance to get something out of the game against them.

 

Well last season is irrelevant to this season, yes we beat them, but they’ll finish on more points than us and thinking we could beat them when we play them doesn’t really count for much.

At this precise moment in time they’re a better team than us, I don’t really get what the shame in acknowledging that is. It’s not that we’re bad or that we won’t get promoted, we’re just not quite as good as them.

 

That's still not what I said.

We beat them this season, we could quite feasibly beat them again.

 

Not hugely no, that’s not how football works is it? We’re not better than Liverpool are we? Huddersfield aren’t better than us and neither are QPR.

We beat them in a one off game but they’ll beat us over the course of the actual competition.

 

Will really screw Norwich's confidence when Huddersfield score 6 in the 2nd half.

 

Buendia with a HT of assists. Pukki 2 goals and an assist. Cantwell a goal and an assist. Way too good for the Championship.

Buendia is probably better than James Maddison and the latter stars in a current top 4 team.

If you are quoting me, I did use the phrase “head and shoulders”, I think you’ll find it was in the sentence “Norwich are.....”.

Cantwell is tripe. Buendia isn't that great. Very decent but couldn't see him at a much higher level. Pukki simply not good enough in the premier league.

 

Yes, but we can still realistically draw or beat them again whether they are better than us over the season or not.

 

Buendia stood out in an awful Norwich side in the PL. Right up there in the stats for key passes etc. They won the league when they kept him in the summer.
