Seriously, I wonder how much money you would have won betting on a scoreline like that?

Wow....I didn't expect the Swansea result. It's a dream weekend pretty much. Brentford, Swansea, Reading and Bournemouth all losing. Only Norwich squeak a 1-0 against Rotherham.

It's changed the complexion of the league at a stroke. Swansea still have two games in hand on us though and only a point behind. It's likely they will get something from those games, but if it's not two victories then we'll probably be within 3 points of them on level games.

That's a massive turnaround, but we HAVE TO keep up the pace. Blackburn make me nervous. They've lost 4 on the spin, we've won 3 on the spin.......I hate these omens, because these good and bad runs always come to an end.

Blackburn then Bournemouth both away, but both out of form. We have to take advantage of that. We need 4 points from those two games at the very least, then on to a couple of nice looking home games.

We've done a lot of good catching up, now we've got to motor on and take that second place then try to run down Norwich.

It may well have been demanded by the Pozzos so we could be in good shape for the run in. The Pozzos know this league and any team not prepared for the current fixture crush is gonna b in trouble!

Well to give you an idea Liverpool to beat Everton by the same score are 18/1
And Fulham to beat Sheffield United 4-1 are 40/1
I guess Huddersfield to beat Swansea 4-1 would have been 50/1 ish

apparently I just heard Huddersfield hadn’t won this year and Swansea hadn’t lost this year therefore this is a bigger shock than first thought and that price could well have been bigger!

What a day for us and Norwich!
Bournemouth may not even make the playoffs at this rate Cardiff are flying.

It's funny how most of us were fuming, with some justification, after the poor performances and results against Millwall, QPR and Coventry, yet all of them have gone on to beat at least one of our promotion rivals.

Sums up the topsy-turvy nature of this division (2012-13 was even crazier when there were only 14 points between 6th and 22nd, any team from 11th downwards could have gone down during the last few games, and Huddersfield were even in the relegation zone a couple of times on the last day with 57 points!) as there was this weekend not that long ago when IIRC all of our promotion rivals won even though most if not all of them were playing away. Cardiff in particular seem emblematic of this, they're a weird team that either win four or five on the bounce or show relegation form, yet they're managed by Mick McCarthy whose sides tend to be consistent but dour.

I think they have been a half decent team all season. But they couldn't put the ball into the net. A problem for a lot of Championship teams. But they have now got Charlie Austin and maybe he is just making the difference.

Brentford will miss Henry. Hamstring so a good few weeks. Let’s hope Toney remains out for a few weeks.

they will struggle without those two.

what a weekend! Hate Friday night games but bloody lovely when you win and can chill and watch a Saturday afternoon collapse from most of our rivals

I reckon Colin will get into the play-offs and be very dangerous opponents there for somebody. They’re on a great run and he’s a born winner in this division.

We now have a better goal difference than Swansea as a result of their 3 goal defeat. Something I don’t think any of us saw coming. They’d previously only let in 15 all season.

Armstrong missed a penalty today for Blackburn, or they could have got something out of their match. Won’t be easy there on Wednesday as they’ve not been far off halting their losing streak.

Think we could do with Muff taking longer to appoint their new manager. I know it could be different without a crowd but I’d not fancy being the first match in charge for their new guy.

What a ******* great day for us, shame Narrich won, but 2nd spot is not looking so distant now HMSPisstheLeague is still faltering some what, but that is not so important as her sister ship HMSAutoPromotion is full steam ahead.

We still need Swansea to slip up against someone else, but we still have to play them at the Vic so we can finally finish them them in that match. We also still have to play Brentford so finishing above them is now in our hands, and as for Muff & Reading we now have a decent buffer between them and us.

It would be nice to finish as champions, and we still have to play Narrrich so closing the gap is in our hands, but we would still have to rely on them ******* up quite a bit elsewhere to overhaul them.

My money is on HMSAutoPromotion being our best chance, but that will do for me

PS The icing on the cake is the Scummers lost too, what a weekend :D

    Carried on it seems.
Toney out for 3-4 games according to the gum chewing hippie.
They'll wait to see with Henry, probably an MRI Monday I'd guess.
They don't appear to have a left back replacement as they let Thompson go in January.
I have no idea who Thompson is,I just had a look on one of their sites.

Seem to have it in them to win well on occasions.

Just out of interest, why do you hate Friday night games?

I thought many preferred weekday night games to Saturday 3 pm ones let alone weekend early kickoffs, but then one contributing factor towards this (better atmosphere) has been taken away this season because of the absence of fans.

Bournemouth have got Cardiff in midweek Wednesday night as well, that could be a big tough game and could see them out of the playoffs before they play us..

Assuming Swansea continue with their average of 2 PPG, that puts them on 60 points and Watford 3 points off the autos.
