I agree, the thing is with the Munoz appointment is that although it was and is bonkers, there is nothing to say it might not be a stroke of genius. Of course it could’ve been/could still be a disaster, but he’s got so little experience other than a brief, successful spell in Georgia, that lack of experience is the reason to think it will be a disaster. But nobody can a say with any certainty he won’t be a roaring success because equally there is no proof at all that he isn’t a good manager or will definitely be a failure.

Henry is the opposite, there is a large body of proof to suggest he will be a failure and absolutely nothing to suggest he will be a success, so it’s hard to see what their logic is.

They injured Deeney, and now they're beating Brentford. What a helpful team they are.

 

It is a special edition kit, I think to say thanks for the fans that helped them finacially whilst they were struggling and kwpt their season tickets even though they were playing outside of Coventry, I believe that the fans names are imprinted in small letters on the back of the shirt, and on the front is the skyline of the city.

Why have a player either side of the keeper...and then do that?! Trying to be clever in this division usually bites you in the backside!

 

Toney definitely seems to make more of a difference to Brentford than Sarr or Pedro to us (and this isn't a slight on either at all, just that we have plenty of other creative players who can help us win games if either of them is out). Not having watched Brentford this season, how is he so important to their team? Presumably it's more than just scoring goals?

 

You’d think that it would put off Coventry just as much/ even more than it would put off Bournemouth.

 

Coventry doing us a massive favour again, Brentford looked so good before they lost these 3, probably the best team in the league for me, this shows that swansea and Norwich could well slip up!

If we signed Toney in the summer when we were rumoured to be interested, we’d already have been promoted.

We could play a 433 with Sarr and Sema either side, or (the dreaded) 442 with Toney and Pedro together, and the outcome would have been the same.

 

And then there were three.

 

Coventry have been brilliant so far and it should be atleast 3 up

Not sure about that. Sarr has scored 2 and assisted 4 in the last 3 games and Pedro won and scored the winning goal against Preston as well as scoring again yesterday (not that he knew that much about it!).

I think we would certainly struggle a bit if we lost Sarr for any length of time.

Brentford are really allergic to getting promoted to the Prem aren't they

 

Brentford's performance against Coventry is actually making ours look not so bad, they've been really poor.

 

You know full well we would never have played Pedro and Toney together until about know. Toney would have cost less money than Gray regardless of if he was good so not a priority. So the Prioroty of pairings would have been:

1. Deeney and Gray
2. Deeney and Toney
3. Deeney and Pedro
4. Gray and Toney
5. Gray and Pedro
6. Toney and Pedro

 

I've also just looked and the ref is wearing a bright purple top, so it's total bollox.

I love the Championship. So much more exciting than the EPL.

A week ago we were all, myself included, stating that Brentford were the best team in the division , nailed on for autos and probable title winners.

Now they have lost 3 on the bounce, and we have won 3 on the bounce. In seven days there has been a swing to us of +9 points and +13 GD.
