I have a question for you ahead of the transfer window closure .... the answer btw is not designed to heap praise on Rodgers even though I am firmly in the "give him until the end of the season" camp but your answers would be interesting nonetheless Do you think that Rodgers has now (with the signing of Williamson in defence) 2 quality experienced replacements for every player in your own particular preferred starting 11 My answer (if I stretch my choice to include Doyley as an experienced LEFT back) is that he now DOES have at least 2 x experienced players covering every position Discuss... Esp
2 quality experienced players in each postion - NO 2 experienced players in each position - No A squad capable of winning a donkey derby - hmmmm - maybe
Rasiak / Priskin (ones a target man, one isnt) Hoskins / Smith (two totally different players) As for out wide Harley, Muff, Smith (again)..... we're definitely short there and again, all completely different players So in answer to your question No.
Problem is: Willo is better in the centre of midfield, and getting forward, proven by his goals this season. Jenkins is still a bit inexperienced, but he is getting better, give him time and he will be a quality player. Young again is inexperienced, and hasn't really been given a run in the first team like Jenkins has. Hoskins as proven on Saturday, he and Rasiak are the best strike partnership we have, so we should leave it that way. So we are lacking in that are, and IMO it was a stupid idea to sell Ainsworth, as we only really have Muff and Smudger that actually play in that position.
