Thought I would have left for the shops by now and it would all be over early afternoon...but no!... she hasn't finished getting ready yet!! Typical Badly organised event, website said £50 buy in for £1000 start up chips. Apparently the guy I sat next to said everyone boycotted the torno because with 1000 chips one can be out far too quick. Normally ( so he said at the VIC casino edgware road, buy in you get 6000 worth of chips, big timing difference) Anyway they managed to get 6 of us togther for a little game for £20 entry, paid £50 the night before so got back £30, felt like I already won something. First hand I had a tasty two pair with three hearts showing on the table and an ace and aseven not hearts. Me an the guy to my right were only ones in and i bet when he bet. The barsteward only had the flush from the flop ( first three cards turned). Lucky I was wise enough not to put all my chips in thinking I had trapped him, as it was very possible that a highe hand could beat me. Went on for a while clawing back my first loss then got a very sweet large win. By then Phil (The landlor of the Pride of Pad) was knocked out -Hooray he's a chelski fan. A few hands went around, started to get bored ( unlike me, think the disappointment of not haveing a £1,200 first prize got to me) and got caught in a hand with the same guy who had the flush first of and was knocked out. Went to play the tables, three card poker against the house and Phil had approx £500 i front of him and another regular of the pride ( dirty leeds skum) had even more. They were both winning tidy amounts so i decided to go play blackjack, within 5 mins of staring at the stunning female dealer I lost 50 squids. Went back to Phils table and they were still winning . Dirty leeds burgerred of to the fruit machines and Phil persauded me to sut down and play. Did ok hold on to my chips, then wooooosh, gone. Borrowed a lucky 60 squids of Pils and was steady with that for a while until WHAM, three aces at 33/1 for a fiver put me into a position to pay back Phil and walk out with twoo hundred to cash in. End result was I had a great afternoon and evening and won £45. YEEEEE HOOOO.
Ah ha -a very good question indeedy When you play at the table and win, they are paying you to drink there. Whe you are playing the table and lose, you can walk out and say "my drinks cost me £60 a go tonight". At the tables the drinks are free ( if you play) and so are sani's ( i often have the most expensive sani's in town) There is a bar with a tv screen and one pays for drinks there, but normally I do not pay as i refuse to lose dosh and pay for beer in there. It is not a well run place as it is new but i can save on taxi's home as it is less than one minute from my doorstep, which i often trip up on when returning home.
One staff member though Is on my side - he's a season ticket holder in the UPPER ROUS. I started singing YELLOWS at the table, when the dealer dealt the new yellow card pack after a change of decks. So the staff member told me to be quiet , sit down and passed me a prawn sani. Paddington is slowly turning YELLOW!!!
I play Texas Hold Em on my xbox 360, pretty good at it on there but is is only virtual money then, never played with real money before.

Forgot to mention that one of the witresses, very fit and 22 and her mate who's alright as well, i invited them to the Pride on Boxing day, it is closed to a texas old em poker torno, beer and some grub.
