That won`t do his confidence any harm at all.:)

And the rest of the team. Judging by the commentary, a feeling of "here we go again" crept in after Heskey scored.

Poor lad - his first start and debut league goal struck from the record!

i think as heskeys goal wont gount the 15000th goal and £1500 wont be going to volz

and now everyone can shut up about tamas not being ready he proved his ready today he scored and won more headers in the first half than henderson has all year!

Heskey 'scored' in the 22nd minute, Volz in the 17th minute. So how would if affect it?

The goal was the icing on the cake, overall I thought he played very well. Held the ball up well and didn't waste it ... If he carries on playing as well it will be difficult for Adey to leave him out.

I was delighted for him and he looked confident throughout. Caused their defence problems and compared to his other outings he looked very interested.
He'll be boosted by the goal and should be starting at Fulham.

The guy looked a vastly different player to the one we saw in the Carling Cup.

I am already tasting that Humble Pie and I hope that Tamas continues his good form. Humble Pie may never have tasted so good:) ;)

Great first touch and seems more quicker than earlier on in the season. He did what hendo couldn't in 17 or so appearences

A good 55 minutes means nothing.

But at the moment anything that's positive must be worthwile.

The best bit is when the match is re arranged hopefully two or three new recruits on the Yellow bus.

... but if that good 55 minutes produces another good 55 minutes, and another good 55 minutes after that... it can only be good.

Fair enough but then why were people calling him useless after just 1 match in generally a poor performance?

We must give him and other youngsters a chance either way really as we are not the sort of club who can chop and change easily.

Because fans are fickle. I hope this 55 mins is the start of something.

Another goal tomorrow and his confidence will rocket. But Hendo's will nose dive!

Only thing to say really is... Told Ya So.... been saying play him for weeks and look at what he did even though there were many on here saying he just isnt good or strong enough!!

Good call...i also said last week if he's given a run of games he'll score a few goals! He's done more in one hour of football than Hendo has all season! He won quite a few flick on headers aswell which was good to see! Good player, always thought he had ability but yesterday he put himself about...that's all he needs to do because he's a good player!

I am so glad he got a goal even though it doesn't actually count. Called for him to play when Bouazza got injured and he came up with the goods. Now for Fulham, you can do it Tamas!

Exactly what I said before. Will Priskin get 19 games to prove himself?

Priskin looks a decent player, I wonder after his red card if it puts henderson back in the frame.

didn't hendo hit the post or something?

  29. lowerrous

It won't. I think Tamas' red card means that he'll just miss the Stockport game and will be back in contention for the league game, where I'm sure he'll still be ahead of Henderson in the pecking order as he has looked so much sharper and more of a threat.

Also, by our next league game we should hopefully have more striking options, meaning that Hendo will be even further down the pecking order.

Especially if whoever comes in gets some goals either in the Stockport game or in any minutes they get.

  31. Timbers

yep, sat gives hendo a chance now. if he can't score against stockport than that's him on the bench for the rest of the season behind priskin.

priskin was farking hopless at foolhAM. WHEN THE BALL IS PLAYED IN ON THE GROUND OR IN THE AIR HE MAKES NO EFFORT TO CHALLENGE OR GET STUCK IN.

HE DOES LOOK AT TIMES LIKE HE DRIFTS IN AND OUT OF GAMES,

THEN GETS TWO SILLY YELLOW CARDS. WONT BE MISSED FOR A GAME THAT FOR SURE.;D

    Give the kid a chance!

Yet you want us to sign Collins John who missed 2 open goals yesterday for 3.5 million?

IMO Tamas had another good game, good physical presence with plenty of skill and pace.

Just one small gripe ..... when is he going to learn the offside rule ??
