Yes by 5pm today I will be announcing that I finally have a new job (or maybe not). The press conference will be held in my living room at 4:30pm.

Wouldn't there need to be a announcement to stock exchange first?

i have it on extremely reliable authority that an announcement regarding developments in the takeover will be made either officially by the club or the Wobby sometime from today (8th Jan) to next Sunday (16 Jan).

 

Nobody knows whats going on really reading the last couple of pages.

Not usually a fan of ridiculous "ITK" sources, but I too heard that its imminent and could be official as early as next week. Not going to say 100 percent, but he'd have no reason to lie.

Put it this way... I've been told the new owner has looked at the books and is happy to purchase the club. Their is a reason why I started that other thread asking who you would buy...........

they would have looked over the books before they made an approach. Full accounts of a PLC are generally available

Malky - I am reliably told his agent was at the club all day Friday in "negotiations", but no outcome (yet). Malky's stock is high at present, 6 games ago it was low, it wont be lost on him that you have to make hay while sun shines. He is on about £5K a week, Burnley or other championship clubs would quadruple that, Watford can't. I also hear that Malky is concerned about the takeover, and whether the new owners want him. He is also concerned about the squad, player sales, money etc etc ..... the concensous to those involved at the club today was that he would be gone by next weekend, and Watford would seek compensation of £500K. I guess with all the uncertainty, and an offer to quadruple your pay, give you a bigger budget to grow your squad, hard to refuse. If we went on a poor run, stock lowers again !!

Loach - if we could sell him for £3M ASAP (no bids yet), then at least we could keep Graham

Takeover to SEGRO - I am told be completed by the end of the month (shame not before)

So an interesting few weeks, by Mid Feb, different Board, different Manager, Half a different team ........

Bubble said many moons ago that a takeover was underway and would probably be complete by Christmas. Well it wasn't, but who cares? All that has happened since then is people have posted on here every single day some clap trap about being ITK about it. Half the people who have a go at him for getting it wrong spend their time bleating on about how ITK they are with vague, pointless posts containing nothing but speculation.

All that we can take from the months of speculation is nobody knows the exact date we are being taken over nor the party who will be responsible for it!

On that basis, I say ban any speculation about it at all and close this ****ing awful thread.
