Take Him Or Leave Him!!!

THAT IS WHAT WE MUST TELL FULHAM!!!

IMHO we must hold firm and tell Fulham to take him or leave him!!! After all the likelihood of his injury being a problem must be pretty low or Flem would have pulled out all together, rather than trying to re-negotiate the deal!!!

At the end of the day, King is worth more than £5M to us as a committed player, and lets face it, if the Flem deal falls through Marlon is going to have to be doubly committed. First of all he will need to regain our respect and secondly to achieve his personal ambition of premiership football!!!

Marlon will be hurt and embarrassed by all of this if he has to stay, so IMHO we will have a real tiger by the tail, and I would not be surprised if he went on to score at least 25 goals for us this season as a result.

I completely agree that we shouldn't back off on the transfer fee. He's worth more than £5M to us even if there's a slight problem with his knee.

I fear, though, that we will agree on a smaller fee based more on performance. :dismay:

Right now the stupid thing is that this probably clogs up the Collins John move as well. So who's starting up front with Hendo today? I really hope it's not Ellington... Priskin and Hendo is my choice, with -dare I say- Kabba on the bench.

    Spot on mate.

As I see it we, not Marlon, now hold all the cards in this proposed transfer. Whereas before there was no point in keeping a player who wanted to leave, now we hold his fate in our hands. Marlon cannot expect us to lower our price and Flem may not be willing to pay as much for him, or give him such a big pay packet, so I would say we are in a win win situation. We either get back a player we never wanted to lose in the first place, and not only that, he will have to be far more committed or his career will be right down the toilet, or we still get our £5million.

    I want him gone.

Under no circumstances should he be allowed back.

He obviously thinks he is far too good for us and until he goes up a division he will carry on being a ****ing lazy b@stard and dragging the team down AND blocking the chances for our multitude of other striking options.

    Get him out!

I agree, although if we were to put together a pay as you play deal then we should be able to earn a bigger price as it would mean us taking all the risk.

I hope we don't though, and stand firm, if we do take any less, then the board want sacking.

I don't think we should start making demands such as "take him or leave him", we risk landing ourselves with a dead deal and player who simply isn't interested in playing for the club anymore and picking up 25K per week.

Patience will have to be a virtue in this transfer although the sooner King has gone the better.
