Through safely after an early scare and a very mixed performance. Good to get some goals and Moses looked lively on his debut netting after chasing down the goalie well. Downside was the performance of Francis who was rightly taken off quite soon after half time and we get a bit slopply allowing Stockport to threaten at 2-1 before they tired....Malky and Jay looked iffy I have to say. Hopefully its not the last we have seen of Ashley Young and Macca seem to be improving in recent games which good. So who do we want next!?
I've got a feeling that unless Ashly actualy wants to go the club will turn down all offers. We do not need the money and we couldnt get a quality replacement. Moses had a good game going by the 3cr commentary and so did macca.
moses worked so hard for the team and definately deserved to score no matter how he did it. Malky did well to get his two goals, but his lack of pace was worrying at the back at times.
jay and malky together as a partnership definately don't work. i would rather loan francis to rotherham and keep tigi as he looked composed on the ball and impressive. impressed with macca again today, moses tried hard and looks to have a bit of 'attitude' which i like to see in a striker, and smith had the full rback unning all over the place. i would rate it a 6.5/10 performance
Far from it MJ1, did alright and as GG said he worked incredibly hard. He was out on his feet at the end.
