Me and a freind were having a convo about why Vicarage road is never as loud as say Fratton Park. He seemed to think that it was due to too many "****s" at watford. I seemed to verge on the idea that people didnt know the songs. Aidys letter gave me a glimour of hope against shef united in the lower rookery of maybe having a really good atmosphere that game. It was better but nothing as id hoped. Maybe the letter could be given out by club as some sort of songsheet. If not the due to legal reasons could the fans give them out? I know this doesnt affect many people on here as if your on the message boards in my opinion you must be a little obcessed with watford deep down or openly and love the club.

Songsheets never work - chants should be spontanious or at least started because people want them to - not because they're told to! Plus how bloomin' difficult is it to sing most songs. It's not the words that are the problem, it's the people. All songsheets will do is embarass the regulars and provide something to ignore for the non-singers.

Agree with you UEA. The large piece of card at the sheffield united game was pointless. Had little effect on me and was all to scripted for my liking and i somewhat doubt Boothroyd wrote it himself.
I actually read it all but it wouldn't suprise me if majority of people read the first paragraph and then discarded it under their seat.

I ripped up all the cards I could find and threw them about as confetti when the team came out. That's all they were useful for!

Dreamt this up last night, to the tune of 'I bought a flute'!

    I met Mike Newell,
    The other day,
    He said he thought,
    That Elton John was gay,

    I said to him,
    Are you f***ing sure,
    Cos the Watford boys,
    Know you're Mum's a wh*re!!!

Anyone got a view on Watford adopting a "signature song" (in the same way LFC have You'll never work again, West Ham blowin' bubbbles and Leeds are Marchin' on together).

Most football anthems are dyer to listen to so i'd rather we didn't. You'll never walk alone is painful whislt Leeds' one is horrifically dreary and the spammer's efforts aren't much better.

the thing is with watford fans is most of them only no how to sing yellow army not a hard song to sing and most people even if they had a song sheet infront of them the only song they would sing still would be yellow army
most people who have there own songs like liverpool, west ham, leeds theres normally a reason behind why they have that song but as much as you never walk alone sounds good i hate watford to have there own tune or song just because they get boring after a while just like yellow army gets boring
