Even if we could have afforded it, he probably would have, maybe understandably, chosen them over us anyway. For starters, they finished higher than us last season and they are also up north still so he wouldn't have to move as far.
Use the money towards getting Earnshaw. Was not that long ago when Sharp was on loan to Rushden & Diamonds (my local team) and where are they now. I cannot believe he has improved that much.
With the money we have in the bank, we should have no problem attracting players like Sharp... I think its more a case of (as Aidy would say) would he improve what we've got? Personally I think yes, but only just. I would rather see £4million spent on real proven quality like Earnshaw over raw youth like Sharp. One other thing, Sheff Utd let hom go for nowt in the first place, I would be surprised if they went back in for him..............

Hoskins will come good .... Sharp will probably do OK though £2mil may be a little high. Nugent came from Bury and he's probably the best striker in the CCC (next to MK of course)
Point is, we have parted with nearly £2M for Hoskins, Williamson and Kabba. They spent £2M on Sharp and got £500k back for Kabba (best deal in the f*cking universe). So I would say it's a bit early to laugh at this deal just yet .. I hope that Hoskins will become a great player for us as much as everyone else. But to be honest, he's the worst player I've seen in a Watford shirt since Adrian Bakalli.
If Sheff United want to pay 2 million, let them He's not that good, and unproven If he was that good warnock wouldn't have let him go. Strangley he knows a thing or two about good forwards
billy sharp will be qulity in this league well worth the 2million quid can;t be compared to hoskins hoskins is quick and thats how he scores goals where as billy sharp is a out and out striker will score fromm anywhere
