I loved Val Doonican, and songs like the Bright Elusive Butterfly of Love, O' Raffery's Motor Car and Delaney's Donkey.

I miss the easy Saturday night entertainment shows of the 1960's and 70's.

The Val Doonican show, Play for Today, and the Black and White minstrel show, and there was some police show with a catchy theme tune..

    Happy times

£522. So over 4% rise for next season. Interesting I can't see anywhere where the club has actually sought to address or justify that increase. It's just been put out there without comment.

Inflation over the past year has been just under three per cent. Consumer prices inflation (according to the ONS) over the past 12 months is 2.8%.

Business rates, electricity, gas, minimum wage, auto enrolled pensions, water, etc. Business cost inflation is well above CPI. Yet the increase in next seasons prices are in line with that at 4% - £421 against £403 and £551 over £528. I make that £22 and £29 per game.

Exactly. 4% is not an unreasonable rise and doesn't really require an explanatory statement.

Having said that, ticket sales are such a small proportion of football's revenue that the clubs should all be working out a way for TV revenue to subsidise tickets so that prices fall over time rather than rise. But that is unlikely to happen until demand for tickets falls significantly across the board.

I will renew in the UGT. It’s good value on a per game basis but whether what has been served up at home is enough to convince new season ticket holders to pay £708 is a moot point.

I have only enjoyed 5 of the 15 being the 2 draws v saints ( 2nd half) and Liverpool plus the Leicester, arsenal and Chelsea wins .

Of course there are other cheaper areas with ( potentially) more atmosphere however after expectations were raised after last years dismal end and 17th place finish I think it’s important to finish these last 4 games well to attract new season ticket holders

I get what is said about a waiting list of over 3,000 but with so many no shows each game are we ever going to get more season tickets without a much higher league finish or a cup win

Just been 20 mins on hold to renew mine - not sure why I haven't been able to do it online?

Anyone else from the LGT block 3 and 4 received their letter advising a seat move?

My beef is that the letter states that you will be moved down 2 rows but possibly 3:

It’s a bit of a piss take that they don’t know now wether it’s 2 or 3 rows. Two would be Acceptable, just, but three rows forward will mean being eye level with th advertising boards. They are not going to move those because of revenue.

Looks like it’s pointless complaining as they would have had the money by then. Fully understand the reasons for the requirement to have additional access for people but not to know how many rows Im going to move is ridiculous. By then it’s too late to move somewhere else if you can’t see the pitch as other seats would have already been taken.. Not that the club give a Fock.

yeah, I've posted elsewhere about this, and my concern being a family of four not being able to be relocated in the LGT..?

Sorry didn’t see the other post on this. I should also have read the letter properly regarding the seat switch option. I need to accommodate 2 people (me and one other) but I hope you get lucky with your 4. Cheers

Don't you guys get your own seat transfer window, before everyone else?

Yes we will. Also option to move stand at no extra cost for the first season.

Aren't a large proportion of the ST's in UGT 'over 65's'. Their price is only £402 or £524.

  15. I am in the same situation to you - waited for a mate to renew/move and ended up being charged phase 2 price. However they assured me that I would get the phase 1 price next year as continuous season ticket holder. I tried renewing yesterday and couldn't get in. I phoned ticket office and they told me that Ticketmaster had me as a Phase 2 and that couldn't be changed BUT when phase 2 opens, I will be charged phase 1 price. You would be in the same boat I would imagine. If not phone them.

I wouldn't want to get a ST ticket again as I'd miss the shoutbox too much.

Yes. That’s my point . It’s good value if you qualify for phase 1 and are renewing or are over 65 and want to be a new season ticket holder . However for any one over 18 who is not a full time student it’s over £700 and I would have thought that’s the type of new fan we want so where is the incentive

Maybe the club is happy that the UGT does not attract new season ticket holders and relies on casual fans picking certain games to get them hooked or see them buy elsewhere in the ground.
Well IMHO there have been a handful of good home games this season to get anyone
“ hooked” so I guess it will be the same faces next season

Thanks for the update - that's really helpful.

I'll call the ticket office and explain the situation. It's a bit confusing that they can't change the list available to phase 1/2, but they can change the price once that stage has been released.

Anyone falling into above scenario MUST phone the ticket office during phase 1 to get phase 1 price when applying during phase 2. You will be registered on a list. Otherwise you will be treated as missing phase 1 and have to pay the extra fee!
