No Steve McQueen got caught Gordon Jackson style! Opened his big mouth to the papers and now he's facing a firing squad. Claudes pilting the light aircraft while Shekky is doing the map reading! look out for that career blighting tree..... AAAAAaaaaahhhhhh its hot....
Hmm, all the recent signings take note. This will be you in 8 months time. Can we please sign a proper footballer next time?
Basically this is the start of dead wood clearing. These are players who aren't gonna make it in the Championship so there's certainly no point a team with Premiership asperations in the long term keeping them. That said, don't **** off Aidy for giving them a go. Financially they cost near to zero and the risk is minimal as well. One day there might be a gem amongst the rejects.
Albert Jarret springs to mind... same story by the summer or is he the gem we've been keeping under wraps?
He'll be gone in the summer. I would have liked to see him succeed just to rub Mark McGee's nose in it, i hate that man.
I imagine he and one of the 3 from the last-min transfer deadline deals will be off as well, as will some of our own youth players but i agree with U.E.A, there was no risk in us signing any of them and Aidy had the right idea in going for young players. Anyone know how Junior Osbourne is doing? He looked like he had potential but hasn't been near the first time for almost a year and a half...Wonder if he'll be off in the summer...
I'm sorry UAE, but this policy is horseflies. Aidy is signing claptrap players left, right and centre and only a couple, including Marlon could be considered successful. The rest (Devaney, Sietes et al) have been an embarassment and have still cost money. It is pointless. Why can't we just start signing some REAL footballers. None of the players we have brought in have even shown that they can impress at Championship level, let alone the prem. It is clutching at straws in the most desperate way. We have money now, but we are still fishing for minnows in the transfer market. If Aidy doesn't change tack this summer, then I beleive all the promise he has shown as a coach and man motivator will be wasted on a squad of talentless dross.
