Scousers in the lower rous

I sent this to the club, but I won't hold my breath for a reply!

Today there were several Liverpool fans in the Lower Rous stand, all blatently wearing their team colours. The stewards were alerted to this. The fact that they were happily celebrating as we went 2-0 down annoyed many of the home fans, most of whom are season ticket holders. Do you really want to allienate your loyal fans in favour of a few once a season glory hunters?
The Stewards were less than useless, simply deciding to tell us that the Rous is the Family stand" yet we look across the pitch and clearly displayed in foot high lettering is the legend "family enclosure" Nowhere on my season ticket does it declare that the Rous Stand is a mixed stand.
As the sitution escalated I feared a repercussion of the chaos that was the Luton game yet the stewards and police usually happy to pose around looking officious when there is nothing to bother about, seemed to be terrified of actually making a decision.
The simple solution would have been to remove them to the Vicarage Rd end which we accept is used as overflow for both sets of fans and is often mixed. but then that would be straying into the realms of common sense, something the inept dayglow clad ones seem woefully short of.

I should also take the time to mention that todays performance was absolute pants, and if you think that is the kind of display that is going to a/attract Collins John (by the way if he has to be bullied into coming here, then I don't want him anyway) or b/convince Ashley to stay. We are in my opinion like the big bunny in the film snatch "proper f****d.

I would appreciate some sort of acknowlegement of this e-mail with a response about away fan allocation.

From the reply i got after the Arsenal game they said they'd review the ticket policy and treatment of away fans in home sections after todays game. So i think things should (and have to be) much tighter against Chelski.

Cheers UEA but your reply was prodominantly about the Vic Rd end.

didnt they say they couldnt do anything about todays games as by the time you'd all sent in your complaints after the arsenal game, the tickets had already been sold out for this game.

they shud review it after todays game because i would personaly take it up myself with those scouse *******s who had the balls to celebrate.

good to see you mentions todays performance too.

They shouldnt be moved into the overflow...

When we go away to grounds like Arsenal, Watford fans sitting in the Watford end get (literally) CHUCKED OUT for simply standing up. Why is it that the stewards at Watford are so lame compared to everywhere else? If any of us were to sit in the home end at an away game, we wouldnt be moved, we would be thrown out of the fire exit.

I could see the people concerned from where i was sitting, all in Red- not even trying to be discrete. ONE steward came over - yet there was at least 20 police standing in between the Rookery and East Stand

I was there and i was pretty pissed off, i dont mind them in the lower rous but the way they cheered and taunted us thats what gets on my nerves. It sparked a few arguements, i never knew the lower rous was like that!

I suppose they dont know how to act at football, it was probably their first match.

If I were to wear my colours in the home end of any other ground I would be fearing for my safety and quite correctly so. Imagine doing it at Upton Park, Stamford Bridge or White Hart Lane >>>> you'd end up with a black eye and it would be just deserts for your complete stupidity.

I have no problems with a few away fans in the home end provided they play the game (as I did at Craven Cottage). That means keeping your trap firmly shut (especially if your team scores) and acting like a neutral fan.

Somebody should have told them where to go, if i'd been in the lower rous and they were taunting i sure as hell would have lost it.

Maybe someone should of started something, then someone (the club) might take note.

Agreed. If you wanna sit with the home fans that's fair enough. Most of us have done it. Just sit on your hands and keep your trap shut! Me thinks Watford are a little too proud of their 'Least Ejections in English football" tag...

If that were to happen, guess who would get thrown out and banned from the Vic? it would be the justifiably irate Watford fan wouldn't it.

Why did the club tell us at the beginning of the season that the Rous was completely sold out? It blatantly is not and they are selling tickets to opposition supporters.

Personally I find it sad that Liverpool supporters need to cheer when they score against Watford. How low are their expectations?

I don't have a problem with Watford supporters bringing a mate who supports the other side but they ought to know how to behave when they are effectively a guest in someone else's place.

The home stands should be only for home supporters.
In the away part of the vicarage road stand they have loads of seats covered up and the stand is full up.

why dont they un-cover those seats so more away fans can sit there so there will be less fans in the home stands and less irritaion to the home fans. And any way the stewards at the gates should check who they support so they can't even get into the home stands.

It might be Watford 'fans' passing on their tickets maybe?

Isn't the Lower Rous a family area?

In the East stand the people at the turnstiles check your ST book..so you cannot just pull out the ticket.

    What is it like elsewhere?

They're not actively selling tickets to opposition supporters. What is happening is that home fans are buying tickets for friends and family who support the opposition and passing these on.

In the rookery i allways keep my ticket in my book. but i once saw some one this season who took his out of his book and he got through fine with out no one asking.

It's a sad fact that unless there is a major incident the club are probably going to do nothing. It's worrying.

Exactly, and as mentioned above, no doubt it'll be the Watford fan who gets banned from matches!

They have assured me that given 'customer feedback' they will be re-evaluating the situation post-Liverpool (as at that point all tickets were sold out for Livepool). Lets see what they do...

As demonstrated by the trouble in the lower and upper rous today, the club terms the stand as neutral.

What I can't work out is we have supposed to have sold out ST yet these people still get tickets.

Then to rub salt in to the wounds the club sponsor loanshark.co.uk have there box full of ****ing scousers

Well they probably think there will be no such problem in the Championship...

I think this is the same incident, but there's a bloke I always notice that goes absolutely psycho every game, sits pretty much dead on the half way line, front row of the upper rous, and he was shouting down at some fans in the lower rous (a big, tall, fat guy being one of them) going purple in the face...

I dont see the point in shouting at other watford fans. all it does is cause more arguments and can be irritating to the people around them. so get the stewards on him!

Robert he was shouting at scousers not Watford fans. ;)

    Exactly.

The reason is 90% of people accept it, come to places like this and moan instead of growing some ****ing bollox and doing something about it!

How the hell did the liverpool fans get into the rous stand? If they were in their team colours, how come the stewards let them in in the first place? I hope they did get a black eye.

Thats a good point, me and my dad have been to a few away games in the home stand, but my dad makes me keep my mouth shut. yeah, for the first time you do it its a bit of a worrying!

Very true, the problem is, is that if you started trouble with the away fans no doubt the stewards would chuck you out instead of the fan that is winding up the home fans. I think the route of the problem is the club letting them into the ground in the first place.

I have been "threatened" with eviction a few times, rather get pulled out kicking and punching than letting others take the pi$$.

In fairness if you tell people to sit down and shut up unless they are stupid they tend to realise quite quickly the error of their ways and behave correctly.

At the end of the day they can sit where they like, but respect that and don't take the pi$$.

Have yous lot been to Spurs this season? I don't recall it, so I think I better chuck in this warning. If you are outside the ground and and a police officer asks you for a look at your ticket, don't, I repeat DON'T give it to them, I got caught out once and gave it to this tiny officer without thinking, who promptly put it in his pocket and asked where my ticket was. Tell them your mate has it down the road or summat.

I kid you not, they are the biggest bunch of ***** going. Literally, I saw a lad ask a steward where the toilets were, after he didn't respond he said it a little louder and the steward had him chucked out. Don't even try standing, or you'll be out on your ear, same goes for swearing too much, they say you should be more responsible with kids about.

Just a warning, don't let them catch you out.
