is nearly here now. Any thoughts or suggestions on the outcome. Anyone actually going to a match?

Cant look past New Zealand. They could field 2 completely different 15's and both would murder the opposition.

France as hosts cannot be ruled out, but nobody comes close to the all blacks. England will reach the semis at best.

Im not sure we will get that far. France on their own turf will be very hard to beat. South Africa it has to be said are one of the favourites and are in England's group. The all-blacks are just the all-blacks, terrifying pace and strength. And Aus, well tbh I don't think they are as strong as they were back in 2003. But it's a wide-open tournament.

    Pointless code of rugby.

The real rugby season is almost over. Hopefully we can pick up 2 points on Saturday against the Salford City Reds before playing Les Catalans away next week.

Been a disappointing season, and had the bad news yesterday in that Paul Sykes is joining the Bradford Bulls next season

I have to say, Rugby supporters (as a whole) passionate dislike for all things footballing and vice versa is quite tiring.

    We won't win it.

    I'm a fan of Rugby...

...I am also an avid Luton fan.

    Hence your statement is wrong.

Maybe it is wrong, perhaps I made it a little too clear cut. What I meant was that I usually hear rugby fans complaining about football and football fans complaining about rugby.

Can't wait for next Friday when England play South Africa...having plenty of SA mates it will be nice to beat them...will be watching it down our local with a few orange juices :(

Can't see us doing anything better than Quarter Finals to be honest. I can see the three to watch being Kiwis, Springboks and the Frogs. I think the Aussies (convicts) will make up the last semi-final place.

Anyone know the odds on Ireland to win the World Cup? Could be worth a fiver as dark horses?
