Anyone got any clue as to a decent pair to buy? Got to be the type that fits onto roof rails and to fit roof box onto. Any recommendations would be really helpful, any comments about alcohol will not be.
This lot tend to be the best although quite expensive. Stay away from the likes of Halfords own. I had a bike rack from them which was flimsy, cheap and never fit the car properly. http://www.thule.com/en/Global
Cheers for that, got the roof box from argos which is ok just the bars from there I dont trust the clamps. Travelling for 275 miles tomorrow so need something half decent.
Thule are the gold standard. I was let down with an express delivery (Thule roofbars for a Xsara) from ebay a day before I went on a camping holiday - so I steamed down to Halfords and got their own-brand bars and feet (Thule were out of stock) and I have no complaints at all about them, plus they were half the cost of Thule.
