My first ever away game was at Reading. We won 2-0 and I think Mark Yeates scored. The highlight of the day however, was watching Jonathan and his dad having to stop every 15 steps to get their breath back as they made it to their seats.
Got to hope we push on and play it like we mean it if we are going to piss the league we are going to need to start scoring more than 1 a game and let’s face it it’s been 3(?) years since we looked like we could score for fun , however the squad against Luton showed promise and we have a few capable of scoring Reading 0 Watford 3
Talking to a Reading fan. Apparently they're under some sort of transfer embargo and can't sign new players until they sell from an already small squad. Joao, Swift and Araruna all missing for Saturday which is good for us. Will be a tough test as they're a decent side and in good form, but quite a fortunate time to play them. Should be aiming for 3 points again but a draw wouldn't be a disaster.
Draw okay here. 8 points from 4 going into first international break and unbeaten. Another 2 weeks closer to the settled squad post transfer window.
HMS Piss the League will sail on through the Madejski Stadium emptying the slop bucket over the side as it passes. 1-2.
Would have been a nailed on away day as only 10 minutes from the coach stop to get to the Madejski. Was there at the cup game where Quina ran the show, not many Reading fans there for that match and will be a similar amount at the weekend. Joao out for them is a big plus, 1 nil to the golden boys. We might just be the new ‘old’ Arsenal
Opposition view here: https://hobnob.royals.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=187465 Really weird reading a forum where everyone is posting seriously about the game. They certainly see this as their toughest game so far and are a bit worried by the injuries.
So refreshing to read a forum of well balanced , rational comments, as opposed to the childish histrionics we see here on a weekly basis . Although a severe lack of gags on the dour but factual Reading forum still gives our forum the edge , although it has to be said they ve been in short supply in recent times , due to the excessive posting from the forum dullards .
So we won't be seeing Andy Yiadom - like we didn't when he was with Watford. Nice that a Watford cast-off has worked his way up the football ladder, though.
More likely to be biscuit discussion I'd have thought. Cheese may come up when discussing crackers though.
We’re confident going into this so there’s only one result. Reading 1-0 Watford Likely from a Kabasele mistake/penalty conceded.
Amazing how the mood has changed in a week. The luton manager thought it wasnt a derby atmosphere, that was because we controlled the game at our pace in a professional way. Hopefully we continue to get better and better, having a 10-12 game unbeaten start would make us odds on for promotion, so would like to keep getting results.
Relegation never really bothered me too much, but sharing a division with a club whose forum is called Hob Nob Anyone? is embarrassingly tinpot
Why only "lots", not "all" ? Which games don't you want us to win and why ? Hopefully the players don't share your lack of commitment.
I am not sure which this way will go, and will only really know once David Prutton tells us his prediction
