From Sky Sports... Rafik Djebbour has returned to Greece following an unsuccessful trial with Watford. The 22-year-old striker has been training with the Premiership club for the last four weeks but failed to impress manager Adrian Boothroyd and did not earn a deal. It seems The Hornets did not impress Djebbour either though, as reports in his homeland suggest he did not care much for their style of play. Djebbour has now declared that he will not return to Atromitos Athens and will look for a new club instead. Are we getting desparate or what ???????
Rafik Djebbour (born March 8, 1984 in Grenoble, France) is an Algerian football player who is currently playing for Atromitos FC in the Greek Super League. Djebbour received his first call up to the senior Algerian national team in October 2006.[1] He was offered a trial by Watford of the English Premier League in November 2006. [2]
that ****ing **** is only saying that cause a team botom of the league didn't offer him a deal so he needed something to say to his friends.
Must admit that would be a worry for attracting players...do they want to play for a side who play probably in their eyes more rugby style tactics than 'pure football' I think we are just trying these guys out...don't forget they won't cost 6 million like Nugent or Eastwood (silly money) and demand massive increase in wages.
Shouldn't be a problem for strikers though - as that style of play helps us to create quite a few chances - they only need to be in the right spot and hit the target.
Speaking of Eastwood, by all accounts he was dog poo against spurs tonight. Very very poor compared to his colleagues.... bet their chairmans going nuts!
Doesn't help when you get no service all night and you're marked out the game! At least Eastwood would get service here!
