Nice of them to do what Watford should have done.

It’s like discovering a lost tribe.

Their language is broadly intelligible to us although I’m not keen on Geri for Delofu/Dofileu/Dofolo or any other of our rich vocabulary for Deulofeu.

Definitely. We've had too many run-ins with the Gerris since the turn of the 20th century.

That is basically the transformation that (our subreddit) underwent about 6 months ago to bring it into relevance, with much success, so your plan is lacking a vital ingredient: a desire to avoid s hitposts.

Your #watfordfc team to face @fckoeln this evening in Kitzb*hel.

Foster (GK), Janmaat, Cathcart, Kabasele, Masina, Capoue (C), Pereyra, Hughes, Richarlison, Sema, Gray.

Seems close to full strength. Pleased that Gray starts ahead of lardar5e. Strange Doucoure not starting though.

Quite a lot of K*ln fans in the stadium, don't appear to be any Watford.
Teams just walking out on to the pitch now.

I think our kit looks pretty good.

Clear sign that Gracia doesn’t rate Deulofeu, Chalobah or Doucoure. Plan for relegation chaps.

I claim the first hysterical meltdown of the season.

Pereyra starting is the surest sign yet that he's unhappy and is on his way out - this match is his final wave goodbye.

Gray scores from a tight angle at the back post from a Richie cross after 6 mins. Good work from Hughes in the build-up.

Gray proving all you doubters wrong. Can't believe his celebration either, no need for that on a football pitch imo.

If we’re going to rely on Gray I’m calling it now - forget this season and let’s concentrate on building a side that can avoid relegation to League One in the next.

Literally ****** his **** right off himself. Disgusting.

To be fair, I didn’t actually see it.

Richarlison looking quick and lively. Not seen much of Sema so far.

Shows how much depth we now have this season now though when we've put out a team this strong on paper, yet none of Deulofeu, Doucoure, Chalobah, Femenia or Cleverley are even playing. Then there's also players who we don't really know what to expect from at the moment but who could also bring something to the side in Success, Penaranda, Navarro etc.

    Rusty half as expected.

Richarlison and Masina worked well together going forward, Cathcart solid and surprisingly Janmaat defended well too. Great distribution too from Foster.

Missed Gray's goal (left for 5 mins) but he has given the ball away every time he has got it since. Sema not involved at all really.

Genuinely can’t believe Gray’s celebration, that’s absolutely vile especially for a pre season friendly.

Still prefer Gray over Deeney, but he does look worryingly unlike a footballer at times. Hold up play, passing and first touch so poor again so far today.

My main take away is that the new home kit looks awful on the TV cameras. From the front (partially due to fairly low res I’m sure) it hardly has any yellow on it. 99% black. Could easily be Newcastle.

What Gray did would be disgusting in any situation, but to do it in the faces of the disabled section is demented!

What Gray did was disgusting, but it's still less insulting to look at than Deeney now being on the pitch.

The second half line up looks horrific. Isn't a single natural central midfielder on the pitch for us!

Entirely new team for the 2nd half.
Who is our number 17 on now? Sinclair?

Yes. He is somehow still playing football at a Premier League club.

I presume all of Cleverley, Doucoure and Chalobah must be carrying knocks, because this is an extremely strange second half line up. No Deulofeu either.

    1-1.

Fully expect us to lose about 8-1 with the bizarre line-up in this half.
