I don't get it. Oil is now at the same price it was before the war in Iraq, but the prices, though lower than Summer, are still way higher than they were when oil was at a similar price. Why do we put up with this in the UK?

The reason the prices haven't come down alot is due to the fact they are still using the oil they bought earlier at the higher prices, until they start using the oil bought at the cheaper prices they won't lower the cost of petrol, if they ever will.

Thing is as long as we keep paying the prices they won't do too much about it, maybe we need another petrol strike like the other year, maybe that will get the prices lowere?

Not had a car for a good few years now. I used to have a
Mini Cooper (original version) the most I ever sepnt on petrol was £12 to fill it up from running on fumes. Borrowed my brothers Jag last year and it was about half full, put nearly £50 in it:eek:

Still to quote Jeremy Clarkson. "Petrol is cheaper than milk. I dont have cornflakes with milk in the morning so I'm not going to stop buying it."
