about Aidy not playing Spring and Henderson because they scored loads of goals LAST SEASON.

Ok they did and I would personally keep Darius for next season in the Championship but have they not noticed neither have exactly impressed this season when given the chance?

(Still somebody did say Francis has been totally useless)

I thought we did play pretty much the same sort of style last season as well....just that this season the teams are better and can cope with our high pressure and 'direct style' more which I do admit means we needed to change the style a bit.

I personally agree that Spring was unfairly dropped this season in place of Francis! Spring was great last season and should have been given the first 5 games of this season to keep his place, if he performs badly then drop him!

Can't agree with Henderson though, he's had more than enough opportunities this season!

Don't know if anybody else heard yesterday on 3CR when a young lad about 12-14 phoned up and to hiscredit made some good points about Watford and ashley young. However i stand by my decision to shout "ohhh f**k off" at the radio when he said at the start "i'm a liverpool fan, but have a Watford season ticket", there last year ? Think not.

the point is - apart frm jordan ( who has done well considering peoples thoughts of him from last season) and Damien no one else had tasted premiership football at the club.

    Damien is my major disappointment.

The facts are simple - we have not been good enough and we are gaining valuable experience.

Why the big fuss, we're going down - big deal - we can go up again. Being in the premiership - unless you win it or get into Europe is quite a waste of time for the fan.

Oh lets be fuham, charlton, m'boro - end up with uck all each season (bar maybe one good season that gets a eufa place).

I enjoy the roller coaster - until such time we can compete with the worlds best plalers, by having the worlds best players -no one has the right to moan that we are shyte. We are shyte compared to 19 other teams, but we are better than 72. I like that ratio.

Our club is doing fine - disappointing results this season i accept is not nice for us fans, yesterday an inept and dire display - but its not the end of the world.

The club is on a sound footing - most importanty -we have a great academy, some great youngsters coming through, who once gained the neccessary experience will make wfc great. The battle of the premiership may be nearly lost, but the war will continue and we will fight til we have power. May take 5, 10, 20 years, but its that wait, the hope and the successful seasons that make wfc a great club to follow.

Too many fans cry far too easily.

I agree, however my point really was that Spring was unfairly ousted from the team! He should have been given 5 starts at the beginning of the season to maintain his excellent partnership with Gav!

Actually I do not mind being in the Championship so long as we do well both in performances and results because all these pundits will not be moaning about us ruining the Premiership and being crap etc.

Just probably talk about how wonderful teams who have spent loads and have better players than us already like Birmingham and West Brom look so much better than us.

    ;D :p

He's got the technical ability but he seemed to struggle to adapt to the pace of the prem. I fear he may be on his way out and i'm not one who would like to see him leave.
Mahon and Williamson should start at Villa, time for Spring on the bench with Bangura back in the reserves for a while. Ohh and Francis needs to be dropped to give him a kick up the arse.

    yeah thats what i say.

we have had a more eventful last 10 years then most teams with our budget and fanbase, and at least we watch our team without turning on the TV.

man united fans seem to be the worse, always moaning that we are poo and have shoddy players. this is why i have developed at hatred of man u fans

100% correct, but its easy to look back and say we shouldve done this and shoudlve done that.

it just looks like aidy didnt do enough to bolster the squad for the premiership

Depends what the individual fan wants from a Season, I am not enjoying the Season (Football wise) but it is still about the day out, the journey to the games and the unexpected twists in my case trying to get to a game, the banter and the after match stories.

I will happier going to Norwich next Season than the Emirates Stadium.

Springy has only started against Pompey and Sheff Utd this season i think and other than that he's come off the bench a few times! It takes a while to adjust to the pace, paticularly in midfield when you come off the bench! I think Springy's cut out for Premiership football if given a fair chance! He has great vision, likes to get his foot on the ball and he'd get more time on the ball at this level! He also likes to get stuck in and battle, unlike our lazy useless friend Francis!

I just think Aidy should have sat Springy down before Everton away and told him he is still first choice alongside Gav but he has competition with Francis now so will need to play out of his skin for the first 5-6 games otherwise he's out!

for starter i think we went up to soon i think we can all agree on that we not got the players to play in the premiership then with spring i think aidy should give him ago just because he did ok agaist man united untill he pass it to giggs! with henderson he had his chance and he should be drop he does try but sometimes he just gives up

I agree with all of your points paddy, the problem is most people want to see their team win, if they don't win they want to be able to stay they players gave it their best shot.

Games like yesterday and the Sheffield United game upset people because we lost, we played badly, and the team honestly looked like a sunday league team that didn't care.

Our style of play may have been successful in the championship but it is not in the premiership, we are probably going to get relegated and tbh I am not that bothered anymore - it will be easier to get tickets, cheaper too, only watford fans will buy season tickets and more importantly we can get ready for the premiership so the next time we WILL finish in a european place;D

    Crying shows they care though:rolleyes:

If we are honest we have no right to be where we are, we are a small club in a small town, in fact we are lucky to have a Football club at all if you take the demographics into consideration, a town of only 80,000 people substaining a Premiership team. If you disagree look at Birmingham, the second largest city in the UK, they only have one team in this League.

We will always be a little club punching our weight, and to be honest I don't care, we are one of the top thirty teams in the Country and is something to be proud of.

    - dis agree with that - if they really new wfc, the history of the club, they would be thankful for a good young squad, a chairman who cares, a young maverick manager, other executive staff who are working their balls off to get us a decent ground with decent facilities and a season in the premeirship.

The time to cry is when your team are bottom of league two and going to coference or going into admin or even worse going bust.

Problem is people will always want to win, they will always play the blame game when things go wrong and they will always want more than they currrently have - this is human nature - even if we were in the top half of the table - wouldn't people be moaning if we didn't get into Europe? I expect they would.

All I ask is that the people who cry and moan still keep going to games, keep singing, and keep bashing those clappy stix together:rolleyes:

I am sure Alan Green and the people on Talksport do not come on here so agree!

BTW Usually dislike Alan Green as he is always moaning (our performance yesterday gave him another chance to do so) and the bloke on Talksport spends most of the time having a pop at everyone but Man U.

Perry my anger from yesterdays shambolic display has yet to diminish.

i don't think this is helped by the fact i have gone from drinking every single day (most days heavily) to stopping completely. i last had a drink at Flem away, nothing since. And its bloody hard.

This is Watford football club. I like any other supporter get the fair share of abuse at college for supporting Watford from the other glory fans that will go to one game a season max and dont even know that for some people an away game starts at 8:30 in the morning not 2:55. I am thankfull for this as i know none of them will ever get as much out of football as i will. Watford is at the perfect level in the country for me. I mean this as we are normally a championship club or league 1 yet more than we should do we punch above our weight. With a small population and little money pumped into the club compared to some we have always overperformed thats why i love supporting Watford. No matter what they say it cant be the same to support the Arsenals,Tottenhams,Liverpools,Man us and Chelseas as they are not from any of those places they cant identify with the club like most of us have the benfit of. Im pretty sure a large majority of Watford fans would have been born if not "under the rookery roof" at watford general a stones throw from the Vic.
