Had a bit of a search today and have found a few options, but wondered if anyone who lives down that way or has been to Home Park before might have any recommendations on where is good/safe/near-ish to the ground for parking? Thanks!!
Parking is very limited in Plymouth, nearly all of it is permit holders only. Theres relativly cheap pay and display parking near the Travelodge, or if you want to park for free you can park on the street just outside Mutley, or if no room then in the Lipson/Laira areas and walk through Mutley to Home Park. There is a car park outside Home Park but I don't think any of it will be available to Watford fans.
agreed. Plymouth is hard and expensive to park in. Your best bet would definately be to avoid town centre car parks. id probably go with the travelodge pay and display, although its quite far from the ground. theres also (or was) a pay and display on mutley plain.
Yeah theres one just off Mutley Plain near the church. Not sure how expensive it is in there but it takes about 20-25 minutes to walk to the ground.
Hmmmm decisions decisions....with the parking sounding a bit tricky, sounds like using our coach tickets might be the easier option, even though it would mean driving over from Reading to Watford and coming back the same way!! Not to mention the painful 6 hour lick-fest! :dismay: :dismay: Oh what to do..........
One solution could be parking up by Roborough which is up by the airport, about 4 or 5 miles from Home Park, and then get a cab or bus from there. Would probably cos about £5 or or so as cabs are pretty cheap down here.
its in the centre of town, so not too far, but i wouldn walk it from there. im rubbish with distances
whats the chances of us being able to us the car park next to the ground , will it be home supporters only ??
i reckon they would have to give some spaces to away supporters, but dont quote me on that... do they say anything on the website?
not on there website but been googling for a bit and managed to find this link form the wolves site that mentions away parking ,guess i'll find out on sunday !!! should be getting there for 4pm so got some time to find out matchday parking
Spoke to Argyle today on this, normally they can accommodate all the cars (both home and away support) that would be going to a first team game in that car park, however according to them Watford are "bringing down 50 coaches" so spaces will be extremely limited, but still also available to away supporters. They recommend using the local park and ride service which is located 5 miles from the ground otherwise.
50 coaches, 50 people average on each coach = 2500, yet we only had around 2400 tickets after returning part of the 2900 allocation and some will obviously make there own way down.
