[RUMOUR] Outgoings...

All summer so far we've talked about the players we'd be happy to see leave but just how many actually will if we are honest? Gino gets a lot of praise for his ability to get a deal - and rightly so, - but what about outgoings? Fair enough, he robbed someone to get £25-£30m for Ighalo but that was China, someone would've paid that.... Don't get me wrong, this isn't an attempt to criticise our owners but the transfer market is as much about selling as buying and from the look of our squad, we need to do both.

I don't see a huge queue of clubs lining up to take our players from us other than some vague rumours from unverified twitter accounts which are then picked up by the Hertfordshire Mercury.

So...

Berghuis, Behrami - As good as gone.
Arlauskis, Paredes - Need paying off. Been trying to offload for a long time with no takers.
DjeDje - Who knows?! But seems increasingly like he was purchased with no real need for him.
Pantillimon - Not linked with anyone and think it's increasingly likely he'll be No.2
Britos - Can see him being the defender to move on.
Amrabat - Divides opinion but he's been involved so far and have seen no rumours of him moving.
Capoue - The bust-up has drawn a cloud but still can't see him moving on. Has obvious quality and think we'd be keen to keep him
Watson - Unless he wants regular football, I think he'll be kept.
Deeney - Leicester/WBA rumours have gone away it seems and I think he'll be staying.

We are all frustrated that we aren't getting many solid transfer links coming in but we need to move plenty out as well given PL squad limits and I just don't see the takers being there for some. If we do sign the '5 or 6' that Silva wants, this will leave a number of the above left out regularly and the club likely can't afford for them to be drawing PL wages and not playing.

 

Pantillimon was linked with a move to Anderlecht earlier in the window but they have now signed Matz Sels on loan from Newcastle.
Watson will leave... there isn't exactly much space for him in the squad.
Capoue Out - Allan In. (....Hopefully)

 

I'm not so sure now. Silva has used him quite a lot pre-season & he's played well. If we don't bring in another holding midfielder to cover for Nath & Doucs I expect him to stay.

 

Hoban will go out on loan, leaving 8 HG players.
Arlauskis, Paredes, Behrami and Berghuis won't be in the squad, so that leaves 16 foreign players (therefore space for 1 more).

Players such as Djedje, Britos, Zarate and quite possibly Capoue may be leaving too if you believe various "reports".

 

Arrangements where we pay a portion of wages for loaned out players may work. Obviously depends on the split between clubs

Pantilimon is a man mountain , we should loan him out to game of thrones

 

So - we sell Ighalo for 18m Suarez for 4m and Berghuis for 6m and lets assume Behrami worst case is 1.5m - - Total 29.5m

Buy Cleverley 8m / Chalobah 5m Hughes 5m Charlie Richardson 11.2m - Total 29.2m

So by my maths we haven't spent any of this years telly money yet?

 

Haven't seen the fee's for Ighalo or Suarez anywhere so we can only really guess at ball park figures for them. And I'm pretty sure that Behrami will be allowed to go for nothing from the way the club, the player and others are speaking.

 

The dream would be

Arla, Pants, Paredes, Kaboul, Britos, Behrami, Capoue (if we are offered £10mil+) Sinclair (loan) and Okaka.

Oulare has already gone out on loan
Berghuis sold for £6mil
Suarez went to China, can't find a fee for him

No idea why you want Kaboul to leave. In a back two he was very comfortable. With his age and injury record, he wouldn't command enough of a fee to replace him with a player of similar quality.

Definitely one to keep.

 

I genuinely don't think we need him or Britos. We know we are in for a new CB this window who will partner Prodl most likely. Then we have Cathcart and Kabasele as back-ups, both in my opinion are better than Kaboul. Then for good measure we still have Mapps who did a decent job when called upon last season.

Kaboul and Britos are too old and too slow. Just look at the penalty he gave away against Villa, ridiculous positioning in the first place and then recklessly went into a challenge when he was never going to get the ball. Kaboul is always a mistake waiting to happen. Granted like you said, he is much better in a back 2 but still I think we already have 3 CB's in the team better than him and we're about to bring in a fourth, plus Mapps.

Obviously this is just my opinion but I seriously hope that if we don't get rid of him, his game time will be limited.

 

in my mind it is the question of his fitness rather than our ability to recruit better that places a question mark over Kaboul. I think he was ok in the matches he played. Of the senior (over 21) defenders we already have i think they will all stay unless we get stella offers for them.

 

Kabasele should not be put near a football pitch. Kaboul is far superior except in speed.

 

This all depends on who we manage to get through the door.

Our shopping list is most likely LB, LW, FW, RW, GK, CB

If Richalison's work permit is granted, then Sinclair will be allowed to go out on loan.
If we sign a central striker, that will allow Okaka to go.
If we sign a goalkeeper then that will spell the end for Pantilimon.
Probably the most interesting one will be a new centre back coming in. You could list 3 or 4 that should not feel too comfortable. I think we're top heavy at CB, with 7 on the books currently.
Clearly Hoban will go out on loan, with Prodl and Cathcart's futures assured. I think two will be allowed to leave in we bring one in. That will be Britos and probably Kaboul, although I'm not too convinced on Kabasele either.

Finally there's a little matter over Capoue. If we sign Lemina (amazing if we do), then he'll be off.

 

Disagree, but that's what makes football great. I think Kabasele will have a great year. Just by his social media he is pumped and excited for the season. You can tell he has been working hard in pre-season and he even said himself he is hoping for a better year.

 

Yet he lasted 9 minutes of the Villa friendly? The guy seems to be useless to be honest and not as a footballer. Just a shocking athlete or horribly unlucky.

 

Yeah I feel bad for him. I still think he has the ability to be very good for us. Just needs a run a games without getting injured.

 

At last he can score goals

 

Well if his social media is great then he clearly deserves another year here. On the other hand I've heard that Perreyra's facebook page is a bit disappointing, slim on photos and no timeline postings for a while, so time to move him on
