Our First Three Fixtures?

Quite a kind start to the season. Need to try and hit the ground running.

Uninspiring fixture list to say the least.

 

New Years Day fixture is Plymouth Away. F***ing tw*ts.

 

I'll be missing the first two home games, I was hoping for a home start then I'd have only missed one.

 

We have the forth easiest start according to Opta.

 

It's pretty weird seeing Leicester and Southampton in here. Been a while.

 

Likewise with Ipswich Town

When do Sky start c0cking around with the dates?

 

A trip to Blackburn on December 23rd will make me feel really 'Christmassy'

 

IMO, if we recruit well and show are serious and committed about mounting a promotion challenge then we should be taking 18 points from the first 6 fixtures this will really galvanise everyone and get much needed confidence coursing through the players and fans - we need that momentum.... if it is the same dross as the last few seasons we will get 9-11 points

 

Tough end to the season

Boro, Southampton and Ipshhit Away in the last 5, plus Sunderland at home. Those could be the games where we just fail to pick up enough points to haul ourselves above the relegation line.

 

I was thinking the same. Hopefully we'll not be too cut adrift by the final match, but if we're not safe and needing points, going to Boro would be a tough prospect.

 

Dreadful final day game

Boxing day game is nice, first month is also decent

 

The excitement of the fixture release quickly evaporated when I remembered what a terrible squad we have and Pozzo's cast iron belief that he runs the club the right way. How long before we realise that Ismael is another charlatan who hoodwinked Gino and isn't actually the "right fit".

 

The only real question we need to ask is what are going to be the 5 opening day games in the prediction league.

 

They've already done the opening weekend ones. No idea after that. Last year they did the rest of the August selections by the second week of July.

 

If only all these devious managers would stop deceiving Gino in their interviews with all that smooth talk. That perfect squad and set up just waiting to fly up the table, only for the coaches to time and again turn out to be frauds.

Can’t see many even the faithful wanting to let the New Year in with a trip to Plymouth. Mind they used to say that summer comes earlier in the West Country

It'll be quicker for them to announce the weeks when Leeds aren't on TV

 

Should of just put the fixtures in front of the corner flag picture, would of saved a bit of time in the near future.

Incredibly appropriate allusion, given the diminished nature of Sparta's power by that time and the outsized/outdated view of their own prowess (supposedly) giving that answer suggested.

 

Liked for the historical rather than hysterical answer.
