OK - all you well travelled horns...

Just been decided/confirmed that me and mine are off to Kiwi land in July/Aug.

So
1)- As we're probably flying Air New Zealand ( and bearing in mind I Haven't flown since I got off the plane at Luton coming back from RAF Laarbruch in 1984 !!) - is it going to be a decent flight?

2) What's the place you'd most wish to see down there? I'm aiming for the Albatross's - anything else to recommend?

3) Whilst in the North Island we'll be at Auckland and Tauranga - any suggestions as bars/ restaurants ?

my cousins just got back on monday after being in new zealand for 3 weeks. they were in North Island near Auckland too

they were shattered after the flight ,thats all i know.!!!!!!

 

not looking forward to that part of the trip - looking at 26 hours plus stop. Yuk

 

Laarbruch- holy sh*t. That place nearlly killed me!!

 

Used to go to a little bar in Kevlar run by a swiss guy, next to the church - spent many a happy hour in there..

Noticed that Wildenrath is now Siemens Train Development centre - any idea what Laarcruch is now?

Supply - started off at Hereford, then spent various amounts of time at Stanmore, Brawdy, Bruggen, Wildenrath, Stafford, Laarbruch and Henlow - plus various detatchments. First 10 years were great, then I grew up!!
