I used the google conversion, here But after you said it's nearer 5' 11" I tried another site (https://www.metric-conversions.org/length/meters-to-feet.htm?val=1.8). I don't know what to believe. Is anything real? Am I in your dream or are you in mine? I'm not even convinced of my name anymore, or if the surface beneath my feet is the floor or a hardened form of what is known as the sky. There is no thing called truth is there, merely perception of what is. And I perceive 1.8m to be somewhere between 5' 9" and 5' 11". I call it 5' 10". 5' 10" is the glue which holds us all together. The Recluse retires at this point.
I have the answer for you: The Google result has confusingly displayed the result in Feet and then the decimal of a Foot (not in inches). Given that there are 12 inches per foot, 10.86 inches works out as 0.90551 feet (91% of a foot). So, 1.8metres is both: 5ft 10.86" , and 5.9 feet. Google's answer did suck though, most people don't think in those terms regarding feet.
Couple of things of note. He's got the most sculpted eyebrows since Younes Kaboul and the Jamaican Premier League looks like lots of fun, with its crappy pitches, leg breaker tackles and brilliant commentary.
With a name like that, I instantly assumed we’d signed a new kit man. Pleasantly surprised to find out we’ve instead signed a rapid winger who’ll never play for us.
I posted a few things on twitter which led me to checking Campbells agents site and they've changed the club he's currently with. On September 6th I posted in this thread (#24) a screenshot where Watford were listed as his present club. That has now changed back to Harbour View, the Jamaican side he was with before & during the time he came to Europe having trials with various clubs and before he purportedly signed for WFC.
Insert gif of Abe Simpson walking into bawdy house, hanging up hat, seeing Bart, picking up hat and walking straight out.
It doesn't look like Campbell signed for Watford after all. On Monday he signed for Serbian side FK Graficar, who play in the Serbian 2nd Division. There's also an option of a second year on loan from Harbour View with Watford getting just a passing mention due to our interest. https://nationwideradiojm.com/norman-campbell-moves-to-serbian-club-on-one-year-loan/
Graficar is Red Star Belgrade 's feeder club. He's probably hoping that if he does well he would have a chance to play UCL/Europa league with Red Star and that's probably why he chose Graficar over our youth set up.
A quick follow up to the news Campbell has moved on loan to FK Graficar, the feeder club to Red Star Belgrade - thank you @SerbianHornet for that insight. I asked Jamaican sports reporter Simon Preston if he knew why Campbell didn't sign. He impressed Watford enough while on trial to enter contract negotiations but personal terms couldn't be agreed between the club and player. As simple as that apparently.
