End of the day the bookies really don't have a clue when it comes to us. Theirs obviously been some big money come in for Cook but whether that means anything who knows. Just seems odd that he's not been linked at all yet suddenly appears in the betting market & even suspended on some sites.

The same happened with Pearson. Wasn't linked at all then randomly appeared at 5/1 the day before he got appointed.

Can't really see Deulofeu or Sarr taking one look at a PE teacher looking ****er and saying 'oh go on then let's see what's happening in January'.

Looool, at least when we were linked with Puel, there was an actual reason for it, just type Paul Cook into Google and there's absolutely nothing to suggest he's coming here, seems to me it's just bookies putting two and two together and getting five

If we get Paul Cook then we have zero desire to get back to the Prem. Absolute joke of an appointment.

We might as well get Hughton at that point. At least he’s won promotion and got teams out of the championship.

If it’s Paul Cook then the Pozzo’s can officially join Mike Ashley in the biggest jokes of owner pool.

Probably Troy saying "we want an English manager", which loosely translates as "I want an English manager so I can continue to be the main man".

I wouldn’t be bowled over by Paul Cook. But you’re going off the deep end a bit! Fans of his previous clubs rave about him and his win percentage is very high. Every manager starts somewhere and the indications are that Paul Cook has been building from the bottom very well indeed.

That being said, I think it’s perhaps too big a jump from where he’s been to come to us given we will be favourites very likely next season. But I’d rather Cook over a number of other candidates in the betting market.

Paul Cook was great in the Pistols so a big yes from me.

It's time to make Giraldi Head Coach. Pearson and others were just holding him back from fully conveying his vision to the team. Let him off the reigns with no one getting in his way and we will win the league!

Whoever we get has to be an upgrade on Pearson/Shakespeare or else we should have kept who we already had.

To my mind, none of the coaches we have so far been linked with have been an improvement on those two.

Paul Cook is joining Bristol City

That's irrelevant if some of the rumours are true and Pearson behaved in a way which made his position untenable.

Confirmed? I’m seeing him linked with them but his odds are drifting...

Paul Cook was nailed on to be the Bristol City boss but the odds are drifting big time. Not confirmed at all.

I still want Ivic more than any of the others. I love the way Maccabi Tel Aviv play and I want my team to play that way.

You can call it a Mickey Mouse league but is it anymore than the Championship or League 1?

Would be a red-letter day if we can beat Bristol City to capture the signature of Paul Cook. Perhaps dreams really do come true ?

Who plays better football out of Struber and Cook? Who has done better with the players at their disposal?

Both had almost identical PPGs in the Champ last season - 1.33 Struber vs 1.28 Cook.

I don't really know much about either. Barnsley fans have said Struber got them playing good football, but I've noticed similar quotes about Cook:

"Bristol City fans turning their nose up at Paul Cook just because they had a Pep Guardiola wannabe in charge before. Cook is a brilliant manager, I think people write him off because he doesn't exactly look like your typical modern manager."

"If Paul cook wasn’t fat, bald, English and called Paul cook you’d love his football btw"

Ive said before. It isnt an English manager. It wont be a scandi/german one.
It isn't an ex English player especially.

they are going back to what they see as successful. If you want a clue as to who it is think more romance country although again few would have heard of him.

The Terry rumours as well as the Pozzos extending the contract for the reserve team coach at Udinese especially made me laugh.

I imagine they have some sort of auto-suspension when a certain volume/percentage of stakes are placed on a candidate.

More than likely just a result of Ivic's initial drift and then people backing him at the greater odds.

Sorry, yes of course! The Greek Superleague is an OK standard, their better teams are competitive in Europe, including his PAOK team. Maccabi Tel Aviv were poor in Europe under him, but I'm not sure how much you can take from that

Bristol City fans seem to think it'll be Holden appointed & not Cook. Probably worth a bet as he's a good price with some bookies.
