I would agree. Gino has never been slow to make a difficult decision. He has got more invested in the club then anyone. It doesn’t look he is ready to make that decision, but I guess we will know very shortly. If he hasn’t pulled the trigger by Monday/ Tuesday then Javi will presumably carry on at least for the short-term. It may partly depend on what managers are available.
We'd just have to hope someone wants the likes of Succes and guess GD and Doucouré would be off ASAP? How many are on long term contracts now? Our squad is pretty aged so cannot be too many...

It's pretty poor to target one player constantly. The entire team were at fault for it. From a poor corner from Cleverley and players being too far forward. To not reacting to the secondary ball. To not having the wit to stop the ball carrier running 50 yards into our half. They were all running away from him. And then while Femenia might have done more to try and block the cross the lack of communication between Dawson and Kabasele in going for the same ball and no one picking up Schar as a result.
Well if he does not he won't be around as a manager long regardless of results. Gino bought Sarr for several reasons. One it is to help the team score more goals. Two the player has great potential and if he fulfils it like Richarlison he will be off for double the money be it one season only. Mitigating factors might be Sarr is carrying a niggle we do not know about and the fact he does need settling in whereas Mane is a seasoned PL player. I would hope that we settle on a countering system 5-3-2/ 3-4-3 ASAP with Sarr and Delofeu able to stretch defences and relieve pressure by the simple matter of a long pass knocked down the flanks. Pereyra or Hughes in their best position centrally behind either Gray or Success.
Well Cathcart and Dawson have another 4 years to go. That will be high wages if we can’t bounce straight back. Success another 4 years. Prodl another 2 years. Okaka and Zeegelaar another 2 years. None of those will be of any interest to other teams so we are stuck with them.

One thing about Penaranda and him not playing a part this season; he had “a rupture of the femoral biceps of the left leg” when away with the Venezuelan team so wasn't going to be rushed back into the side because of that. I don't know if it required surgery but it would definitely have hampered his pre-season training as it happened in June.
Some of our fans clearly want the club to progress in the manner that the owners have said. Watching your team get ****ed every week and paying for the privilege stops being fun after a while.

We do not know what the medical situation of the players are. My preferred line up would be to have Penaranda and Quina/Welbeck on the bench because they can pull something out of the bag and Penaranda needs to get fitter and he will never achieve it by playing a few minutes here or there. His attitude looks a lot better as well as if he has realized he has let himself drift over the last two seasons. I would have liked to see Sarr come on and to have seen Success on earlier as well. Some managers who lack personal input into transfers can be reluctant to play players who have been brought in by the sporting director. Again there is only one winner in that case. I am sure Sarr will be integrated into the squad better and fitter over his next two week mini pre season. It's a great time for the squad to look at the mess of the start and to buck up their ideas, fitness and collective responsibility and for Gracia and his team to review their tactics. This season is now first and foremost a relegation scrap. Forget top ten at present or anything else.
For sure. But he didn’t get a look in last season either, even as a sub when Success was utterly hopeless.
