    • Watford tries to get Nantes Nathan Gassama to sign

Watford has just approached Nantes to try to get Nathan Gassama to sign. This central defender, born in 2001, played this season with the U19. If the Nantes club has, for the moment, refused the English approaches, discussions are continuing. Watford wants to integrate Nathan Gassama into his development program, lending the player to a partner club to start. There remains two years of contract trainee to the former player of Evry. At the same time, the little brother, Eden, signed a non-solicitation contract with Guingamp.

Can't say I've heard of him and he's yet to make an appearance for the first team but apparently he's highly rated - according to this article (http://www.actufoot.com/75/nathan-gassama-ex-fc-evry-signe-premier-contrat-stagiaire-pro-a-nantes/) Chelsea and Dortmund were interested last summer

For all the eulogies about our scouting network, this summer they seem to all be in France!

France is a gold-mine for talent at the moment, every French international team at every age group is stacked with quality players - and if they're still in France there's a strong chance that they won't cost too much either. Ligue 2 especially seems to be producing a high amount of talent for a 2nd division, Arsenal are strongly linked with a winger (Alexis Claude-Maurice) and signed Guendouzi from a Ligue 2 team, Inter Milan have basically signed a CM (Lucien Agoume). Great league to target.
