Good days viewing today only interupted by Christmas Lunch.

March Of The Penguins, simply stunning photography, how they live in that climate is amazing, I want a penguin for next Christmas.

Miracle on 34th Street , good film but a predictable ending , cute little girl , I recognise the Mother from School Of Rock , am I right.

Queens Speech , must of been a recording as no mention of Phillip. Shame about the autocue.

Happy Feet, felt like I was watching a repeat of the March of the Penguins , but I still want a penguin next Christmas.

Emmerdale , difficult to concentrate on the show with Teenagers around.

Downtown Abbey , great episode , finally after years Mary and William get together, Bates was convicted of the murder of his ex- wife, escaped hanging only because his lordship is a personal friend of the Home Secretary, alright for some. It will be back next year, I think this show will keep on running and so it should.

Couple of minor points that needs to raised.

You never see any of them drunk , all they is drink wine , port or whisky in large quantities from dawn to dusk.

It must of been filmed in the summer as the lighting suggested. The snow scene at the very end, it was cold but no condensation was present when they spoke.

I must have a penguin for next Christmas.

Yesterday it was the Bullseye marathon on Challenge.

Today it has mostly been Dave apart from Dr Who.

Downton is tosh, but completely gripping tosh. It was Mary and Daniel, Birdy, in the completely fake snowscene at the end. With Sybil having run off with the chauffeur, I think Lord Grantham would have something to say about Mary and a dead servant.

Best television yesterday was the Royal Ballet production of Alice in Wonderland.

I haven't watched a great deal of TV over the festive period, but what I've seen on in the background during family events, has been dire.

What was the BBC doing this Christmas? Les Dawson, Morcambe and Wise? It's as if the last 30 years haven't happened. Even Ab Fab finished in the 1990s.
