Just wait til you see their goals. 3 copy and paste long balls completely mangled by our ‘defence’.

Basically this is like the Pre Pozzo Championship mode.

Win the odd game , scrape s draw sometimes and generally lose and being rubbish .

I've counted five times in the last fifteen minutes that one of ours has passed to an opponent, under zero pressure.
Unforgivable laxity and feebleness about our club when it's not plain sailing.

Yet another insipid away performance. I don't have enough words available in the English language to describe how abject this team played. So I need to start branching out into others to help convey my disdain.

    Merde.

At least those teams tried to fight for a result. There's not one player out there tonight you can say even attempted to try.

What time will the club announce the winner of the most attempted dribbles competition that the ‘team’ were playing tonight?

Should we not be used to this by now? A dreadful performance after a good win. Millwall, as much as I despise everything the club stands for, have to be given credit for the effort and drive they showed throughout. We just do not have that type of culture in our club. Added to that our defenders are poor. Hard to know what the hell is going to happen from here on in, other than we are not likely to be promoted. Louza getting injured doesn’t improve the mood.

    Dominant second half performance.

I was watching a dodgy stream which didn’t display the score, but I assume we must have been 3-0 up.

    Happy hornet!

I won't claim it was difficult to predict we would struggle in this game, and having to play Pollock made that an inevitability.

It's also inevitable that other forum members are going to overreact with the doom-mongering on here after this despite its inevitability given the difficulty of the game, our injuries, and that a game like away at an in form Millwall is basically our kryptonite.

I thought Pollock's nervousness even prior to the first goal helped to cause panic amongst the rest of our team, with Pollock giving the ball away with all his passes and that making the other players around him have to second-guess their own passes to avoid giving the ball to him. His error for their first goal just compounded the sense of panic in the side.

For the second and third goals it was just Millwall being Millwall. Cooper won the flick-on from the set-piece for both goals and we simply don't have any personnel available to match him in the air. Only Sierralta could maybe have competed. Pushing two players to try and fail to match Cooper in the air just added to the gaps in our defence for them to score from.

I can't really blame Bilic for today. Millwall are flying at home right now and we just don't have the players available to compete in games such as this - even without so many defensive injuries it would have been tough. I also think Bilic will know this as well as anyone, and will be pi55ed off about the state of the squad and the mentality showed out there. I don't see us bringing in a better manager at this level this season and rather hope we listen to him if we suggests any additions in January.

My only minor criticism is I'll mention again the surprise I had before the game that Asprilla started ahead of JP - today is exactly the kind of game when we could do with JP's extra physicality starting instead of him (though given our defence it might not have made a difference anyway). Perhaps we didn't want to risk JP but we ended up playing him 45+ minutes anyway.

The good news is that Bilic can sit the squad down and show them a rerun of the game and tell them to watch Millwall and then put that intensity into the next match. I am generally a glass half full guy but that was absolutely pathetic.

Kalu can hold his head up,the others showed the hearts and desire of shriveled peas.
I have no idea why I'm disappointed, it was so predictable.

In case you needed more context around my thinking prior to the game - Pollock's performance has fully completed my answer to the question.

Agree with this. I thought WTE couldn't pass the ball, but Matty Bolllock made him look like De Bruyne.

    He only had two variations:-

    1. Sideways

    2. Thump it forwards as hard as he could straight to Millwall's defenders

He did try passing it forwards on the floor a couple of times, but both were hopelessly off target and straight to a blue shirt.

Clearly not good enough for the championship. National league standard.

Best player on the park. Scored a fantastic hat trick and really dominated lower league opposition. Odd though that he’s now white and plays for Millwall, but such is life.

Do you genuinely think we’re in contention for promotion if it’s inevitable we would lose to Millwall?
