My hope is that Xisco is using Gray to rope-a-dope the Milwall team, allowing them to batter him black and blue in challenges and pick up cards before unleashing Pedro on them
True. It's the best solution I can offer other than Disco has gone as mad as a balloon and stuck his underpants on his head and two pencils up his nostrils. "Wibble".
The only reason I can think of as to why gray is playing is he’s more physical than joao, not to mention joao’s physicality is still very good and he’s streets ahead technically, baffling decision.
Urrgh! won’t be spending a tenner on it. As said by multiple posters previously first half will be terrible. Second half will be better but why waste 45 mins on something that obviously won’t work?! Maybe we will get a penalty first half and it’ll confirm to xisco that this is the future
Awesome . Can’t wait to jump in and engage in some balanced , well informed and humourous football debate .
Why are all the pundits talking about what an intimidating atmosphere The New Den is ? I’ve been there 5 times in past years and it’s one of the most docile away days on the calendar .
Yeah I reckon so as well. The issue is, if/when he seems useless again, will the Pozzos finally pull their finger out before the window closes? There are only so many chances we can get away with giving him.
Other than one single goal in the goal column, I don't see why, and I don't see why he's more likely to get it than JP either, for a start. I'm also struggling to see how this is a 'low risk' game, if I'm honest, or even what that means in our current situation.
I could understand rotation if it was used for more people, finding it very strange some are playing every single game yet others are needing rotating. Hopefully there is some solid long term planning here. Anyway I’ve paid the tenner so should probably start watching. Hopefully someone will do something entertaining first half.
Millwall have been all over the place from our set pieces. For once we actually look really dangerous from them.
There for the taking and we haven't mustered a chance apart from a near own-goal. To be expected with a striker that is so bad, he makes us worse. Edit: And yet very fortunate to be 0-0. Sort it out Xisco. Didn't work the first time, why the hell would it work the second time?
Pretty sure you said this a couple of games ago. Both times it’s been Pedro when the game before he’s been one of the (if not the) best player on the pitch. How come this is the reason for him but for very few others? Deeney has started them all for instance, as has Sarr.
Anyway I enjoyed that half for two reasons. 1st reason - we’ve been pretty good to watch , lots of attacking intent and done decent performances. 2nd reason - I’m actually finding it funny watching the comedy show that is Mr Andre Gray.
See my yesterday 11.17am post. Pedro is a young lad. Being looked after. When the games become more spaced out I would imagine it will be Deeney and Pedro more regularly.
Very lucky not to be behind right at the end, but we have played well just not scored. Changes need making at HT, bin Gray for Pedro for one. Awful as pet usual.
