I have heard a rumour (albeit from a chelsea mate) that we are linked with possible loans for these 2 young Chelsea reserve defenders.

Sam Hutchinson (18 ) is a right back/ centre back, and current England U19 captain, made his debut as a sub against Everton. Michael Mancienne (20 ) is also a right back/ centre back, played many games for QPR on loan, in England U21 squad.

I know what with Grant leaving and what-not that this is potentially a load of bollox thats not going to happen, but do you think these are the sort of players we should be aiming at? Both have potentially very bright futures and a loan move for one of these 2 could solve our right back problem. Loans like Adam Johnson had a huge impact on the team, and a player similar to these 2 would definately be better than dribbling doyley.

Doesn't Mancienne have a comical hairstyle?

Mancienne would be a good signing, and Sam Hutchinson was my first choice RB on FM in the prem in 2010 ;)

Would it not make more sense for Mancienne to go back to QPR (unless they don't think he's good enough for them)?

Heard from a chelsea mate at work that Mancienne will be in and out of there first team next season.

    Probably bollox but oh well.

Those are the types of players we need (very good young players who wont get a look in due to their club). Stoke and Hull have shown that playing the loan market can be more beneficial than signing players.

Just think what we could have done if we'd used the £3.25 million we used on Ellington on loans instead...add to that the wages we'd have saved...
