Hi, started posting here since the official one has gone bust (Thanks Simpson!) since this is the best forum for Watford fans. I'm sure it will take me another good 5 years to get 5000 odd posts again. Currently study business and management at Brunel University and I'm currently a season ticket holder in the Lower Rous.
Welcome to the forum GG. It took jobr a long weekend to get to 200, so I'm sure 5000 isn't that far away
Welcome to the boards, may your stay be a long and happy one Lower Rouse????? ooer.... nothing like the good old rookery!! lmao I took my son to a game just before xmas a couple of years ago and got him his first watford top as a xmas treat and gave him the option of where to sit... he chose the Upper Rouse, half way through the game he asked me why everyone was looking at me funny cos i was cheering(in rather too loud a voice for my liking and for that of the old man in front also who looked at him with daggers)... funny how kids pick up on things like that... next time i took him to a game with the option of sitting where he wanted he instantly said the rookery.. his actual words were.. where the fun people sit, (as he had sat there with me before).. lmao... kids, ya gotta love em. Sat in the lower Rouse for the AFC Bournemouth league cup game, always will be remembered by me as the first home game after the sad loss of Jimmy Davis (god rest his soul) was somewhat better down there but considering it was quite a sombre occassion it is unfair to fully judge it based on that... but give me the rookery all day long.
thanks guys. Ye, without a doubt the rookery is better. I sat there last year and the atmosphere is much better. People around me aren't big Watford fans. It saddened me when Bouazza scored against Middlesborough and a guy who came late asked who scored and no one was able to name him except for me and the people I was with.
Thats just wrong... and yet there are real supporters who struggle to get a ticket to certain games. Anyway... i forgot to say.. hi and welcome to the boards.
do you come over alone or do you know other Watford fans that you travel with? I was just wondering how often you managed to get to games from Ireland, that's all.
just had a quick scan through this to realise i hadn't officially welcomed you. my sincerest apologies for that, welcome greek god. may your stay here be a pleasant one
