I've been belatedly reading the piece on Mazzari by some Italian journalist in Tales from the Vic. Apparently he's really good at developing strikers and all his players love him.
I don't doubt it when he can be understood by the team and he's managing in a league he understands. He was just a poor fit for us.
I read that last night! Walter confronted some landfill activists & lived outside Naples near the training ground. Short on pep!
Mentions Watford in there somewhere; makes me wonder what he actually said. Probably an excuse as to why he was shyte - "The fans anda tha plaiyeers anda thea ownars dida notta suport me"
Get him at 25/1 for the Stoke job! https://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/stoke/next-permanent-manager
Just listened to the interview and no mention of Watford other than when talking about Niang. No excuses. Actually comes across very professionally and positively when in his own language. Unfortunately his translator here did him no favours believe me and the fact that people slated him for not learning English, believe me when you're over 50 it's not easy, some people pick up a language easily but for most it's not easy. Sounds like I'm trying to stuck up for the guy but I still think he's a miserable arrogant selfish git who even put himself above his own family. Good riddance. Arrivederci....
In what sense is he in the running? Is it because he appears on a bookies list along with the usual suspects? A list so accurate that includes a bloke given a job elsewhere a couple of days ago in his home country?
Most of the names are just there to tempt idiots to put money down, especially at this stage a day after the previous manager has been sacked. Can’t see Stoke going for Joka anyway, I doubt he’d be on their radar as Fulham haven’t pulled up many trees, that’s not to say he wouldn’t be a good appointment for them though.
He's done an excellent job at Fulham given the circumstances. Kept them up first season, then took them to the playoffs last year after they sold their best two goalscorers and replaced them with some loanees, four points off the playoffs this season despite not strengthening in the summer and having a strained relationship with their very odd owner and his amateur hour scouting department. Despite this, they play attractive attacking football and he's brought youth team players into the first team. Of course, that doesn't mean that Stoke are interested... but they should be.
Wall's new team won 3-0. Presumably players were allowed to go into the opposition's half. Radical change of tactics
Smashing juventus away en route to strolling into the champions league, looking suave in a sharp suit, designer sunglasses and a gauloises hanging out his gob. Meanwhile we're getting spanked at home by wolves with a garden gnome who looks like he gets dressed in a bin at the helm. FFS.
First Silva and now Gracia now being wrongly credited after reaping the rewards of his legacy. We would be in the Champs League now had he stayed.
Well its a good thing the "Where's Wally" game has ended. That was one hell of a hiding spot. Good luck to him, he just wasn't right for us or the English game really.
