    Very sad. Seemed to have it all, the looks, wealth, talent and humour. Having listened to his autobiography on the flight to Japan I’m surprised he lived this long. Absolutely ravaged by addictions and had already “died” twice before. The book is written in a very humorous way but is shocking in terms of how he wrecked his own life and was helpless in trying to overcome what was killing him. Well worth a read. So much of his Chandler character was based on Matthews real character. Always trying to make everyone laugh as a defence mechanism and being hopeless at “chatting up” the opposite sex, both of which I can very much relate to.

    A sadly tormented man in a time of little support. I’m glad he got to call out his former colleagues on the reunion for abandoning him after the show ended. I’m sure they’ll chuck out empty platitudes today.

    Gutted by the news today. I’m not really into sitcoms, especially American sitcoms, but Friends was such a quality show. Chandler Bing was my favourite character and loved the bromance between him and Joey (Matt LeBlanc).

    A troubled soul, but left us far too early.

    Watched all ten seasons of Friends when they aired loved them all. Perry was a good actor and had a unique personality and charisma that shone through to anyone else he worked with. Outside of Friends he also did some decent movies such as 'The Whole Nine Yards' which is a great movie in it's own right. I read his personal book he brought out which did go into detail with his substance abuse, but said he was very happy to be free of it for a few years and was getting back to normal life again.

    Will be missed by family and friends and loved ones, and fans all over the world.

    RIP Mathew Perry, you made us all laugh. xxx
