Fishtanks and aquiariums in general are a bitshit I would have to say.

Some people like to have them. One old boy I visited as a carer had a massive tank, but now the water was thick green and there was only one fish in there which was barely moving and just floating with its mouth above the gunge waiting to die.

In fishtanks also, the fish can't be very happy because they eat each others tails off and such.

Were they filming a live action ‘Finding Nemo’?

I think they are quite calming. Albeit, not if they explode.

Yes, yes. In German. "Ich nichten likten" said the eyewitness.

How can freezing temperatures affect the glass when it's inside a hotel and filled with heated water?
Did that come from Baz on facebook?

I was actually in Berlin when this happened, but I can confirm it was nothing to do with me.

I can confirm it was bloody cold though.

I'm quite a fan of the Tanked series on Discovery or some other such channel. Their tanks are made from acrylic. I would have though our German chums with their penchant for engineering would have come up with something a little more technologically savvy than glass that couldn't handle a temperature difference of a few degrees beween inner and outer skins.

A well designed and maintained aquarium is a nice thing to look at.
