The thread on this subject was moved to a different area last night because of the potentially inflammatory remarks, as has the thread this morning, until the story has been proven/ disproven we would appreciate anything that could be considered slanderous/ libellous be kept to PM's and not posted where it is accessible to casual visitors to the site Thanks
If you wish to PM somebody click on their username and select send private message to user. Nobody but you and the other user can see it. It's a very useful function for talking about people behind their backs ;D
Its no secret as long as you stick to what has been reported on the daily Mail website and in the paper today. Arrested in a club for abh New Years day
i think its good that the post are being moved look at what it did to are old mb it got closed down i just feel sometimes newspaper just want to make a story but untill watford or marlon speaks out im just takein this story as aload of rubbish
From what I could see everyone was treating the subject in an adult manner and nothing slanderous or potentially libellous was posted. I think most fans were just venting their dissapointment with what they have read in the public domain. BTW admin - any chance of a spellchecker ???
But it wasn't one of us who started the rumour, it was sourced externally, thus we are only passing on information found from elsewhere, it's not like one of our users did it. I can understand the caution but I'm sure a C+P or posted link wouldn't get you in trouble!
There is absolutely nothing wrong with this thread. Quoting or linking to stories that are already in the public domain is not a crime, Nor is expressing an opinion. This is not Soviet Russia (yet)
its admins site and i dont think he wants to get sued - he can do what he wants. there was nothing wrong with the thread yet but it is best to move it - you dont wait for something to go wrong when you can just prevent it
Correct Budfrog - this is Soviet America = A country for expressing an opinion and freedom of speech unless it upsets the minority of one, then its not PC and you're in big trouble.
Theres a free spell checker add-on for internet explorer. It adds an icon to your tools. I'll see If I can dig up the link for you tonight.
I posted the following where the thread now resides, just wanted to make it clear here... I´ve been in Spain since Monday, (still am), with limited access to here. The mods here knew that, and usually if a dodgy thread like this one reared it´s head we´d all discuss it before making a decision. I can assure you they discussed it without me before it was moved here. You can all pick holes in any moderator decision until you´re blue in the face, but the fact remains that the moderators here are still new to the job and still what I´d consider to be in training. Every day brings a new challenge, and the learning curve rises. I personally think they´ve done a superb job thus far, and I know for sure I asked the right people. I can say for a fact that I´d have moved it sooner. Whatever the reasons for the officials shutting down or whatever your personal views, the club are 100% definately watching this site. I will not have this place closed or even threatened to keep a few people happy to post what they like. The moment Carlisle was mentioned it was a goner. It could easily have been removed, but it was placed in the exact place for a thread like this, IE out of public view. I don´t see how it could have been handled better, (no doubt I´ll be told). Finally, if you think we´re doing a job poorly because moderators or admins shouldn´t be seen, well nobody noticed the dissapearance of the "Kebab Boy" thread did they Just cast your minds back 7 or 8 weeks and remember that it would have been removed without trace, and without the slightest explanation either. You´ve never had it so good
I thought the Kebab Boy thread was only just getting going ..... Still when Lee dons the famous yellow shirt again there will be many more threads.
I thought the idea of this site was so that all the serious obsessed fans (FANATICS) would have somewhere to discuss everything in relation to this fantastic football club! If a national daily newspaper has stuck its neck out and printed a story...surely we are allowed to discuss that story?!

Wholly inaccurate. If you say something about someone that isn't true and it is found to have damaged their character you can be sued. It's been like that for a couple of centuries now!
